Yesterday was fun AF. We are so lucky to have such a huge mtn. Still finding new stashes. I love the composition of the first Swimmy photo above. Before dropping in I thought how weird that tree/shrub looked.

Maybe Six Shooter was not worth keeping, I dunno. But when Madison 8 stopped working a couple weeks ago it was a cluster to have all those stranded people loading into vans for a ride back to Big Sky, same as when Six Shooter used to break down.

Thanks man!! He’s still too young for the bgully comp. Maybe next year we can have the father son team - then I can look forward to years of harassment over my defeat.

It would be sick to have a lift from bottom to top of Lone Tree. But Lone Tree lift now is kinda its only little special mini gnar zone. It’s pretty cool. Feel like you would lose some of the charm.

Some pics I clearly didn’t pay for. Haha.

When they can get a bit more of the sweet Dubai money to pay for it.....

Agree, but what if they move LT over 1 ridge to the west and up into the bottom of the N. Summit run out?

Holy shit, that fucker almost never slides, in my 33 years I have never seen it go anywhere near that big. And I don't see any blast point so it may have been triggered accidently.

Low level of skier compaction. Very subject to wind loading especially from the S & Sw. The area that pulled out gets the most traffic and that is usually patrol coming off the Alto route.

Is that Big Sky? What is the giant building? During operating hours or night?

That is the top of the main access lift, Swiftcurrent, the big building is the Chair barn. Lift maint can work on grips and can store chairs in it. Before opening, my guess is a snowcat may have cut it loose or a patroller coming off route may have triggered it.

Rowdy. Looks like there might be a shot hole up high above the crown (unless those are just rocks). We used to shoot that on a stick, but pretty low in the path just above the road cut. Never saw it go that big!

Someone I don't recognize sent me the video and stated it was an AE release. Probably the last time they ever shoot that path when the lift op is in the shack. I though Big Sky learned that lesson back in 1996 when we wiped Shedhorn out and there was some question if the lift ops were in the shack or a cat was at the top.

I believe it is still on hold. Usually there is a Snowcat parked just west of the top shack, if it was there it probably took a beating, usually a snowmobile or 2 there also. Oops.
