I seem to recall some place up on Canada was pushing dirt as a probiotic or some such thing.

    Vitamin D
Turmeric. Recommended by my doctor after a back injury.
I also just started taking some beet root powder. My older brother swears by it. As does a co-worker with high BP. My BP has increased a bit as I have gotten older, so going to see what the results are in a month.
I have taken Organic unpasteurized Apple Cider Vinegar when I had a recent sinus infection that had been lingering for over a month. Finally decided to try the ACV, and w/i a week the sinus infection was gone. Maybe just a coincidence.

My wife does the collagen powder, and it sounds like that might be something I should check out too.

I put out alot so I get alot back enjoy seeing my long list of Dr's most of then have a thirst for knowing
I literally had this at the end of my post

“(of course there will be exceptions)”

But then I edited it out. Why? Because it’s redundant- mags aren’t stupid - they of course know there will be exceptions…

But thanks for stepping in with your anecdote that proves little

I think you're talking about Humic Acid powder. I've taken the liquid form which is too harsh but the powder or dirt has helped by wife more than myself. On the theory that SIBO & C-DIFF has a correlation of one's microbiome to Alzheimer's I got my wife on it. Can't say it's the only factor but it has improved her health as her digestion issues are all but gone. Since I've known her she always had gut problems but the improvement makes me believe it plays a significant role in her change.

One naturopath suggested that the metformin stopped the spreading as it suppressed the cancer because as he stated "sugar feeds cancer"
Sugar feeds every cell in your body. Most types of prostate cancer don't spread aggressively. I'm not aware of any evidence that metformin keeps cancer from spreading.

At what dose? What brand? Did you have your NAD+ levels measured before and after?

Nor was I until his naturopath suggested it.
The correlation seemed plausible but not conclusive.

I did some more reading last night and there are some papers suggesting plausible mechanisms through which metformin could inhibit cancer metastasis (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7540116/). However, this excellent review article indicates that the clinical data is mixed at best, though better-designed trials are still worth pursuing: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41416-023-02204-2

I took a nice combo of MDMA and psilocybin the other day and have felt great ever since. I'm thinking a monthly measured dose from here on out is the right thing to do.

I passed a large kidney stone with shrooms and about 18 beers one night at friends cottage.
    Gotta love psilocybin with beer.

The only people I disturbed were my friends and their girlfriends staying in tents. The ones in the cottage not so much.
The next day they complained about all the pissing and laughter. I passed it around 6 maybe 6:30 am and no one was impressed with my celebration and relief. All I got was STFU we're trying to sleep.

Good memory of what could've been a very nasty one.

Specifically for long days of touring / exercise I’ve been drinking electrolytes for two to three days ahead of time then on the day of drinking [emoji638]-[emoji639] servings of electrolytes (I add salt, b[emoji637][emoji638] and sugar to the day of mix). It is definitely a PED for me.

I used to get awful cramps after a long day of touring and this eliminated them all together.

Yeah, weed and coffee is the hippie speedball.

I'm not sure how a drug story is relevant to the supplement thread, but this thread would be a lot more fun if MDMA was a supplement.

hippy speedball, we always said, and that makes more sense than 8ball.

I defer to you on the "flip" stuff.

I started taking ginseng and gingko recently, in retrospect I wish I had just started ginseng and then added gingko later so it would be easier to understand the effects/side effects. for the first few days my system wasn't too happy, nothing terrible but shit wasn't right. But that faded. I still have to piss a shitload starting a couple hours after taking it (it's ginseng and gingko in one capsue) and then for the next 3-4 hours. Which gets old quick. I'm hoping that effect fades.

It's early days on this, the full effects of both ginseng and gingko are supposed to take time to develop. I do feel good, kinda energized and clear. Been sleeping like a rock, and notably, I haven't had to piss in the night at all for the first time in many years. Ginseng is supposed to help your bladder, among many effects. So maybe that's it. Or maybe I've just been dehydrated when I've gone to bed from pissing so much earlier. Hard to say.
