So far just the girl in Arosa has died. And slf downgraded it to a three in the north because the thick new snowpack covers the deep instability.

Not in Graubünden and Valais though. We'll see.

Christmas miracle indeed. 7 riders got caught, four of them partially buried, one slightly injured. Got themselves out before mountain rescue arrived. 100 s&r/emergency people and 3 choppers involved.

Ah...you know. I mean there is enough to criticize but you only get The usual..."make them pay for the rescue", "forbid everything" and, my favourite, "why did they go on a south face with that deep instability".

It was a locals only first gondjola. Luckily all the school kids decided to sleep in on the 25th.
Average age was between 30-40years.
All nordkette veterans. I know most of them more or less.
