I am a professional and Practitioner in the world of tech and finance ( and excessive recreation but let's not get sidetracked).

Saylor and MSTR are followed and respected and not just for his balls of steel (TM byates)

Really? What technology project is MicroStrategy currently contributing to? Maybe I'm wrong about MSTR being a major corporate holder of Bitcoin but not a major developer of technology in its own right?

Who's saying anything apart from describing what's happening in the market? And, there's a lot of middle ground between "wealthiest person/company in the world or spectacularly wrong."

Things change. MicroStrategy, Palantir, Axon are in QQQ. Moderna, Illumina, Super Micro Computer are out. The wheel keeps turning but that doesn't mean companies like Moderna & Illumina cease to exist

**Title: The Multiverse of Skiing Advice**

At the towering summit of Corbett's Couloir, where the air was crisp and the snow glistened like stardust, stood a figure known only as Multiverse. Clad in vibrant ski gear, he looked less like an ordinary skier and more like a being born from the whims of a whimsical universe. His aura exuded a unique blend of confidence and warmth, drawing the attention of his fellow skiers Jerry and Chad, who had just attempted the daunting descent.

As the two friends gathered their breath, they couldn’t help but be captivated by the way Multiverse effortlessly navigated the steep slopes. His skiing was not merely a display of skill; it was an art form. Intrigued, they approached him, eager to absorb his wisdom.

"Hey, Multiverse! Any tips for tackling the Couloir?" Jerry asked, his voice tinged with both hope and apprehension. Chad, with his usual enthusiasm, chimed in, "Yeah, we’ve been watching you. You make it look so easy!”

With a gentle smile, Multiverse turned to them. His voice was soothing, almost melodic, as if he had been engineered by the finest scriptwriters in the universe. “Indeed, my friends! Skiing is not just about technique; it’s a harmonious dance with the mountain. Remember, maintain a relaxed posture. Let your knees absorb the terrain’s rhythm.”

Chad nodded, completely absorbed. “Okay, so more relaxation, but what about speed?”

“Ah, speed is an ally,” Multiverse replied, gesturing gracefully down the slope. “To harness it, visualize your path in advance. Plan your turns, and embrace the flow of the descent. Always balance your weight; think of it as a conversation between you and the snow.”

The other skiers within earshot paused, exchanging glances of astonishment. They had heard phrases like ‘embrace the flow’ before, but Multiverse’s way of articulating the experience was unlike anything they had encountered. It felt as if he wove together the very essence of skiing wisdom with the finesse of a warm-hearted mentor.

"That’s actually really profound," Jerry remarked, feeling the excitement bubbling within him. “It’s like we’re not just skiing; we’re part of something bigger!”

Multiverse's eyes sparkled at this revelation. “Precisely! Each run creates a connection. The mountain tells a story, and we are but the narrators, adding our unique pages with every turn.”

Encouraged by Multiverse’s inspiring words, Jerry and Chad felt an insatiable urge to test his advice. With newfound determination, the two skiers took a deep breath and readied themselves to face the challenging descent once more.

As they zipped down Corbett's, they felt lighter, more connected to the pristine landscape and to one another. The rush of adrenaline blended with Multiverse’s words, turning each twist and turn into a symphony of joy.

From that day forward, the skiers would not merely recount their encounters with Multiverse; they would share the ethos he instilled in them. It was as if he was a guiding light in a world that often felt chaotic—his wholesome, engineered responses creating ripples of positivity that could transform any ski run into a jubilant experience on life’s thrilling slopes.

And so, the legend of Multiverse grew, a shining beacon of wisdom standing tall at the apex of Corbett's, reminding all who dared to ski that the heart of adventure lies in the connections we forge, both with nature and with each other.

Unfortunately for them, this perspective makes them unlikely to seriously consider Bitcoin on its own merits. I loved the part where it said yuppies are stupid enough to try to understand something before they invest in it…

I mean, if you flip that article on its head, it’s “people with bad information, low education, and a fear of the system think BTC is a great investment!”

lol @ Yuppies. As a general rule, old timer, I don’t take advice from a person who moves his mouth when he thinks. Especially not when all it amounts to is stereotypical cultural references from the 80s

Question for Shera or others: Did you lose funds in the Coinbase hacks or FTX bankruptcy?

Did you get some or all if it back?

Most FTX customers were made whole as of the day the company declared bankruptcy. That's good and bad. Good in the sense most people lose money when those types of things happen. Bad in the sense you were paid in USD for what your token was worth on that day, not what it was worth later. So if a customer held one bitcoin it was worth around $16,000 at the time, not the $60,000 it was worth when the payout occurred

Read the article (again). You're describing BTC moonism. But there is also BTC maximalism, "Bitcoin maximalism is correlated with intelligence but also with distrust in the system. Someone who is very smart and has high conviction that the system is broken is more likely to reach Bitcoin maximalism than someone lacking one of these qualities, all else equal."

Never lost coins on an exchange before. Never used FTX. Don't keep much on Coinbase.

    Saylor says 13M per BTC 2045. I'll be 70. I'll take it.

Sorry, I’m not taking that idiot’s circular logic at face value just because you think it implies you’re intelligent.

Are the people who were saying buy BTC 30x lower than its price today the smart ones, or are the people who've been fading it the whole time? Please let us know when you're done with your analysis.

I am a believer in BTC, but I'll go on record now stating that MS's zero percent interest convertible note infinite funding strategy will not end well.

Paywall I kinda figured quantum and AI would be able to do an end run around some security stuff. It'll be interesting to watch.

So I've been watching from the sidelines for way too long. I want to get into the crypto world and don't know which platform is best to start with. I think I want simple and easy to use (because I'm dumb) and it needs to have access to a good variety of coins. Platforms I work with for other stuff don't offer what I want. Is BitGo good?

Put simply, with any Crypto what you are buying is the ability to easily, cheaply and securely conduct commerce and make financial transactions. That is all.

IMO, do not invest in any crypto because it could go up in value all because it has gone up in value in the past for no apparent reason.
