It’s the 19th - for New Mexico, there’s still a couple-three weeks of potential warm(er), dry weather. Hope not, but…

When it snows it is all time here. All of my deepest turns I have ever made in the last ten years have been in Taos. Deeper than winters living in BC and skiing in AK last March. Every season we seem to get at least one 5ft + storm if not several but there can be long dry stretches. The winds usually blow from the west and fill in highline so a 12in storm can ski chest deep in some areas. It is almost always bony even when there is snow, and you have to be mindful of sharks all the time. There are a lot of zones to explore, its not the most straightforward mountain but you'll find most of them eventually! Have fun.

sick shot. love that mountain but am no stranger to skiing in some bony conditions. Taos is on my short list for places to visit this season but if all the snow ends up falling to the north of me then that may end up being the play.

This Fall has been so damn hot so far. I'm over it. This last weekend's storm gave me some hope that winter had come, but that hope is dying pretty quickly.

I had a low snow winter in TSV, '85-'86 and coming from NY snow, it was still awesome...need to get back there

I almost bought 10 acres out next to the bridge this summer. Balked and it was gone. 30k ish. Wanted to stand on it before pulling trigger and couldn't get down there. I'll probably end up w something someday.

I’m looking to plan a trip to Taos to visit some friends there and also do a little skiing as I visit once but it was almost two decades ago. I was considering early March, but I’m not sure what the best time to go is. I’ve got a trip planned in late February so my time ranges are the beginning of February or the beginning of March. I’ve heard that it can be really busy during some spring break weeks - does anyone know exactly what weeks those are? Is see that the university of NM break in 3/17-3/22 but I’m not sure if there are other super busy weeks. We will be traveling with a three year old who might be ready for a short ski lesson - does anyone have any recommendations on that?
