My sister is still in the hospital. And as of yesterday, going through all motions to officially join the liver transplant list.
Her kidneys just won’t bounce back either and is starting dialysis asap. Fuck.

I don’t have direct experience ^ but my MIL has been dealing with that kind of thing for her husband, I can ask her.

If it is an issue of possible abuse or neglect contact the county adult protective services office. Or is that what you've already tried.

My ski bud's dad was the last WWII vet in town he was actualy physiclay in really good shape but his mind was gone for anything after 1951

So Dad really needed full time care but he was too healthy so Ski bud couldn't get Dad into the lodge, every body knew dad so they kept an eye on Dad, so people would call ski bud which was even more of a worry , i personaly pulled out behind dad on his trike and hit the 4 ways when he pulled out on the highway without looking, it takes a town to raise a kid and I guess it goes the other way too

so ski bud hired a consultant who got dad in the lodge in like 2 weeks, I guess the consultant knew how to advocate ?

Text from dad this afternoon asking if I’m available to talk right now. Heart sank. Dad FaceTimed me and turn out is actually my sister. Kidney and liver failure, in the hospital. My mom also is about on kidney dialysis with the numbers she’s sporting lately as well. These kinds of days are quite difficult.

Leave for AZ first thing in the morning. Has been taken to the ICU, is now on a feeding tube and is becoming non responsive today. Not sure I’m going to make it in time.
Getting another lap or two at Solitude before all of this that’s about to hit. First day out, thank you TGR for this Ikon pass. This is the time I needed before I say goodbye.

Condolences Buzzworthy. My Mom passed due to liver and kidney failure, once she went unresponsive she didn’t come back out. Turning off the machines was a hard choice for Dad and the family.

When I told her I was here her eyes opened huge and she definitely knew I was there. My parents needed me here. They aren’t doing great themselves. Time to go to work.

Sorry about this Buzz. At close to end of life my Dad did a lot of things that were pretty hurtful to us kids. Looking back, I can't say that he was conscious of us or how Mum felt. Here for you
