    That line is nothing. Surprised.

Heard Keystone’s gondola line went through the queue and out all the way through the village. #epic

keystone is a lot better than people realize. because people post like you do and others think that keystone must really suck. it doesn't.

Dude, my brother was in town last year and I paid to ski at Keystone. Luckily the nice pass office lady gave me a 50% off because she liked me and we told her a sob story. It was still like $120!! And my brother and his buddies are the biggest gapers on the planet so it was a pretty strange day to eat mushrooms. Haha.

I worked at Keystone for 5 years as an instructor so I knew my way around pretty well, not where I went to ski on my days off. The only people I knew that would go there over somewhere else was park rats.

front side (cruisers) and north peak have some decent pitch and vert, always thought outback was overrated. have some friends who like to ski there and my response is just that I’m good on it.

Some of y'all are having trouble seeing nuance. Is Keystone the worst Summit County resort? Of course it is. Is Keystone still a fun place to ski? Of course it is. Does that lead to the conclusion "Keystone sucks"? No.

Day 1 is in the books for me. I was anticipating a larger crowd for a Sunday. Pleasantly surprised to ski right onto the lift all morning.

I remember a keystone day back in the 1900s, skinning n skiing the "IBENZ" at keystone: Independence bowl, Bergman bowl, Ericson bowl, N outback, then S outback bowl. Had to make it for the 1:30pm snowcat cutoff for the last two. That was actually super fun.
No more skiing! Get back to work!

Sale to Alterra has officially been completed. Good luck with that.

    Sale To Alterra Complete:
I’m excited to share that, after a full year, the sale of Arapahoe Basin to Alterra Mountain Company is complete. Now that the sale is final, I know many of you have questions about what Alterra ownership will mean for A-Basin and for each of us. Finally, we can start working on those questions. We will work with Alterra and shape the next phase of The Basin’s journey. Joining Alterra’s incredible network of mountain resorts gives us the support and partnership of a global leader in outdoor recreation, and it’s a privilege to be part of this extraordinary team. Since we first partnered with Alterra in 2019 and joined Ikon Pass, we’ve worked to preserve the unique spirit and community that define Arapahoe Basin. With today’s closing, I’m confident that spirit will not only remain but grow stronger.
Arapahoe Basin is much more than a ski area—it’s a home for passionate skiers, riders, and employees and all who cherish Colorado’s mountains and a spirit of adventure. Our community at The Basin is something special, and each of you helps make it that way. The thrill of skiing the Pali, hiking the East Wall, skinning up to a Moonlight Dinner, and the joy of sharing chairlift rides—these experiences are what make A-Basin home. Together, we’ll ensure they always remain at the heart of what we do.
I look forward to many more unforgettable days on the mountain with all of you.
    Here’s to an amazing winter.

Maybe everyone will stop skiing the Basin because of this Alterra nonsense.

I’m prepping to pay a whole lot more for my pass next year.

Not stoked to see what other changes they implement, considering parking was the first of what I assume to be many.
