^^^ I like stories like that. I had my 12yo up on an empty dead end street the other day starting to learn how to use a clutch and manual transmission in the e30 convertible. It was a, jerky, experience.

sigless.
Yep, great stories Gaijin, I'm preparing myself for that phase in my son's life and I'm going to have to seriously consider how I want to share my (cautionary) tales from the same era.
I still call it The Jake.
Had some fun with this this weekend up on Chuckanut

Very cool. Gallardo?

Yessir. Just rented it for a few days to take up to a hotel cause there was some solid twisties to get up there.
It’s rear wheel and it was a bit wet so I had to be careful but still a ton of fun. Downshifting engine blips were only second in pleasure to freeway on ramps.

That's awesome!
I'd have to imagine downshifting 10 cylinders of pure noise right behind your seatback has to be an amazing feeling.

It really was. I will never go as ostentatiousness as a lambo, but I started bargaining for a used RS6 on the way home when I saw the smile on my wife’s face.

I gotta haul stuff around otherwise that would be perfect. Should have clarified that I was referencing the Avant but that probably goes without saying in these parts.

I was crossing [emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]][emoji640] to the thruway on sun afternoon, moving along around [emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]]],in right lane light traffic, when a dark shape appeared in my rear view, I knew what it was pretty quickly, around same time heard it approaching must have been a quarter mile back. It ripped up on me, confirmed what I thought was an older r[emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]] absolutely on throttle in left lane. Sinister, ominous, completely composed and stable around [emoji637][emoji638][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]]] I’d guess , just disappeared passed me on throttle.
Needed a smoke after seeing that.
Wait , now I have the Peruvian pox???? Wtf!
It's ok, I picked up on the tone of your post - seeing pure sex in the mirror come and go like that.
And Art, a "before and after" RS longroof garage with your current one and a new one would be top of the mountain shit for these parts. Can't wait to see it come together.

Art, not really any cars out there that are more incredibly fun to drive and fairly practical than an RS6 Avant. Do it!

I had a good museum visit this morning. Maybe 75?100 cars and motos.
I could post more, but you get the idea.![]()
Wow, I don't know what's hotter, the Gulf-liveried 917s, the Rothmans-liveried 962 or the R-18 (which Audi factory liveries continue to be the sharpest out there)?
I still call it The Jake.
80° today and all the hotties came out to play. Today was a top 3 911 day of all time! I saw some creme-worthy goods just out rolling along thru traffic. Sorry no pics, was with the wife but Geez that McLaren and Chiron on I84 at WOT was memorable.
Somebody's going to have a nice Christmas it looks like.
I still call it The Jake.
No no. It was broken and being towed away. Though could lead to some Xmas upgrades...
sigless.
Oh, is that the large piss spot to the right of the flatbed?
