there's a lot of shitty skidders at PCMR now that people are burning in route anywhere possible. The older stuff is great, but a lot of the newer stuff seems built by 14yo kids just straight down the hill just cuz'.

I have fun on all of them, not sure id classify any as "shitty" but i def have my favorites.
I dont think there has been any new trails developed this year which is probably a good thing... as i mentioned before i think that its reaching a tipping point and it needs to chill out, many people have the same thought/concern too.
ZZZ... PCMRr to DV is a good place to check out trails for ideas, but also check out places like Brighton, Snowbird, and Guardsmans... good variety in use of terrain.
Checked out ‘Lehi’s Dream’ in the CC/Sensi area today. Pretty sick stuff for CC! Get it before it gets chewed up some more. Nice to get some tech in there vs. the endless miles of flow trail.

The fall colors on Parrish Creek were going off yesterday. I’m kind of obsessed with this trail, and for good reason I think.
^^^ damn that looks tasty. I'm bummed I haven't been up there this year.
I may have asked you already but have you done Hollbrook? On the map it looks like a similar outing, no idea how it compares.

Holbrook Ridge is aight. Super loose, steep, and sketchy choss slide for the first half mile or so, followed by mostly hauling ass in a straight line the rest of the way.
Holbrook canyon; I’ve ridden the segment descending from the new BST, which is fun technical jank. I can recommend that as an exit option after riding the new Bountiful flow trails, twist and shout(surprisingly fun btw).
As for Holbrook Canyon above the BST, I’ve hiked up to about the midway point, and have also checked out the top. Doesn’t look promising, I think the trail is completely overgrown to the point of being bike impassable.
Stone Creek trail is another similarly raw and janky trail in that area that I enjoy.
Come to think of it, top of Holbrook Ridge to Twist and Shout to BST to bottom of Holbrook Canyon would be a pretty good linkup. Might have to do that sometime this coming week.
Thanks!
Still gotta check out those new trails in the area, I've heard good things.

Stopped in PC for a few days this past weekend. I've never been especially excited about the (limited tbf) riding I've found at PCMR during prior visits.
The number of trailside skidders was a nice surprise, and worthy of a return trip for more exploration possibly even with a lift pass. Hope the building and maintaining of those trails is allowed to continue. I pedaled up there on Sunday with low expectations, mostly to say I actually got out on my mtb in PC. Left feeling pretty stoked about returning.
The $235 season pass was well worth it for us. So many fun new trails up there.

Absolutely and did. Really not interested in DV, it's crowded and nearly twice the price. The jump lines are OK but I'm not so into huge high speed jumps any more. NCS will always be awesome though. Full parking lots on weekends at PC all summer and never waited more than one chair till closing day, which was choked with day tickets. Midweek, med-day and you've got the whole place to yourself. There's not a ton of steeps but there's quite a few, and some less steep stuff with techy jumps. One huge jump line if you want it, access to The Crest, Jupiter Peak and Empire, 9K, etc. You're pedaling when you ride the lift if you want variety but the lift is a nice bump. I wouldn't really want to ride a DH bike there.
Jeez, sure they're blown out but so is DV, and everywhere else. The PC skidders are technical because they're steep and some have techy jumps, if mostly only small to medium in size (great for this broken old guy). Sounds like you're complaining about them? I'm not.

I really like shitty blown out janky AF skidder lines. Jus sayin.

OK, not the Wasatch but apparently the State of Utah is planning to sell off land in St George that Zen, part of Bearclaw Poppy etc is on, to developers. New homes were already being built on land nearby last year when I was there. Locals have a petition going and are also asking folks to email the St George planning commission which would have to change the zoning from Open Space to Residential to make this happen. Let the planning commission know what the trails mean to you, where you visit from, and that you spend money when you visit the area.

Got skunked a couple weeks ago on Saturday (closing weekend) due to high winds, but went up tonight for some laps and didnt get hassled....saw a few others out as well.
buddy wit a t-bog on the PP
Unfortunately as much as I like ^that^ jump the speed is way to fast for it so beware...My first time hitting the jump I dragged brake over the roller and still managed to huck to flat. Solitude needs to dial it in or someone is going to get seriously broke off. The rest of PP is dialed and Unleaded is a blast and super dialed. For a couple years in think Soli is doing a good job, IMO they need to adjust Quicksilver tho way too much work to clear the tables. Also heard rumors of lift/trail off Eagle Ridge.
Unfortunately with SITLA lands the only way for that to not get sold is for someone to submit an offer at FMV or for it to get purchased and protected. Hopefully with enough comments the city or county could purchase for open space.

Hmmm. That looks sweet. Heading down from Canada for some mtbing. Doing some stuff in Montana right now. Had wanted to stop in Park City on the way down further south, but then I saw the snow in Alta and had given up on that. Looks like I should reconsider and that conditions are still good?
Dirt was great yesterday! Rode from tunnel springs to mueller and back. First time on that section of BST and it may be my favorite. Fast and pedal-y in both directions and roll through some nice scrub oak and conifer forests. The brown pow probably helped too.
Also checked out the new trails in north mueller, not as techy as expected after reading some reviews but definitely a nice addition to that area. Good to see some trail development going on!
