Damn, I met and got to ski with him at one of Gordy's camps back in the day. He was all the things people have said about him; funny, kind, generous. Hopefully he and his wife are making turns together once again.

My first home in SLC was mortgaged by him, and realtor was another maggot on same transaction.

    Sad news.

I will be thinking about this one for a while. Can't think of a more kind and genuine human and friend.
He helped us on the lending front to get into our condo and home (along with other mags here) and he was nothing but amazing.
We also had some super fun ski days together!
    Just such a good human.
RIP and condolences to his family. Losing both parents to cancer in a few short years...I can't even image.

Remember dolphin turns? My favorite IG anectdote was him waxing BWPA on the nastar course, after BWPA was running his usual trash talk.

I feel bad because I know I've met Inspector Gadget, but I'm having trouble remembering him. Does anyone have any photos?

i didn't know him well but met him a few times, the first time was when I bought a pair of kids skis (for a kid who's now an adult) that I think we still have around here somewhere. It was a solid deal and he seemed like a solid dude all around. RIP

Never skied with him but did a number of southern UT bike trips with him, his family, and a bunch of you SLC hoodlums. Fun times for sure. You were all very gracious to include me and I’ll always hold some of the conversations I had with Richard close to the heart. RIP buddy. You were one of the good ones.

Damn. With each one of these posts the knock of our mortality becomes louder and louder. Let's all keep living as hard as we can.

Condolences to all of you that were lucky to know him.
