Have fun out there burners
Buddy is leaving tomorrow to work as one of the volunteer engineers that help to build the city. Sounds like a cool gig.
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.
"Happiest years of my life were earning < $8.00 and hour, collecting unemployment every spring and fall, no car, no debt and no responsibilities. 1984-1990 Park City UT"
I have an old roommate that does the same. He’s usually building the man or one of the other main wood installations that gets burned.

Hey Lego. Camp of a friend is in your hood. Misfits Menagerie. Ask for Dave. He’s a long time Lake’s of Fire Burner.
At gate road see you all on the other side
anyone want any of the dozen or so free tickets I’ve been offered?
you couldn’t pay me to go to this silliness
I didn't believe in reincarnation when I was your age either.
Hold up. Burning Man is here already? No wonder my stupid rental car in Reno cost so much this week. Also explains all the signs and waivers. Cracked me up...

"Burning Man? No man, not us. What is it?"
Ha. A co-worker told me one year her kid was doing a camping trip up to "somewhere near Reno." She didn't seem to know what Burning man was and obviously didn't get the full story from the kid. I think she was a bit mortified when she found out where he actually was.
Yeah, it's hilarious. The news about all that is acting like it's a "bad" thing it isn't selling out. Hey, here's a thought! How about just shrinking it back to reasonable levels like it used to be!
I'm working not too far from it, and was talking to some locals about it and apparently lots of the burners historically had come ripping through town every year like the Rainbow Gathering dorks, trashing everything in their wake. This year, they said it's noticeably more peaceful than it had been in prior years. They are not complaining. I've seen a few people clearly on their way through to it, but nothing too crazy.
Did he have to mention Lake Tahoe? Now Diplo is gonna be buyin up property too
Nice to finally meet Lego in person, even on shift! Although I did pick the G-spot for a reason. My previous camp assignment I actually gave a woman an O on shift, so I knew I had to bring my A game. Punani said the Lego Fam stopped by his camp and also had a nice mag meeting.
That's how we roll. Keep the family alive folks.
