I practiced Labor Relations in the Healthcare sector for decades and saw a fair amount of fuckery. One Doctor operated on the wrong leg... TWICE. You cannot make that shit up. After the first occasion the Nurses and ancillary OR staff were all suspended, but not the surgeon. After the second occurrence his privelages were terminated. Nothing like going in for an ACL replacement and waking up with two painful knees.

There isn't an anesthesiologist during colonoscopy. The procedure is done with conscious sedation, ordered by the gastroenterologist. Typically the patient is semiawake, hopefully having little discomfort, and will have absolutely no memory of any of it.
