    Haha. Yup! That would be some comical karma to witness. Then next time Djongo sees him in town, he can ask the seller "So how much you think your car's worth NOW?!"

    Not that it has anything to do with wagons but Ima do the head gasket tomorrow on my Kohler 20hp engine in my lawn mower. After that, I figure an Audi should be a piece of cake, amirite?

    The catch bag almost qualifies the mower as a wagon, you’re halfway there.

    Bzzzt No. Try again. That makes it a UV not a wagon.

    Speaking of lawn mowers I picked up an 07 Honda fit with 52k on it. It’s almost a wagon. 5 spd, pleasant little round. Didn’t I offer you that one GL?

    My Cub Cadet wagon didn't have a blown head gasket after all. It was just the valve cover so I replaced that gasket and didn't push my luck with taking the top end off.

    My (and Aldo's) friend Otter did a service on my M-B E400 wagon earlier this week. The "thunking" noise was a worn upper shock mount. Otter is going to replace both sides in about 10 days. He did discover that all 4 wheels were bent when he was balancing them. In his words, "whoever sold you that car knew it because they put the worst ones on the rear." I don't consider this a big deal. There's a place near where I live that straightens bent wheels for under $200 per wheel. New AMG wheels are a fair bit north of that price point. I went ahead and bought some AMG knockoffs from a shop in Germany in case they can't straighten the AMG wheels. If they can, I'll just use the knockoffs for winter tires.

    Nice glad you got that figured out. While I agree they may have known - that’s sop when you’re just balancing- stop signs always go in rear!

    Happy Memorial Day my man- Thks for your service.

    ^ thanks mang

    If I ever get my golf game resurrected, we gotta hit a few. I think MMP had to give up his membership at that track in Longmeadow...divorce will do that to you.

    To keep this wagon related, I can fit a shit-ton of golf bags in my wagon!

    Get the smallest rims that fit your car. Smoother ride and less prone to damage.

    Totally need to play we’ve got the other country club guy up north to lean on - I’m certain he hasn’t any letters, yet - we can work on that in the future

    Yup. The current ones are 18". Putting 20" rims on a wagon is effed up.

    I hit reply to thread and it went straight to an offsite Men's cologne advert for some Paco Rabanne. WTF?

    Someone convince me that the techs working on this site are professionals cuz I'm just not buying it.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Nice Vw, or so seller thinks. Says excellent condition yet interior is fucking filthy, seat and shifter boot shredded, tire well liner out of place, yadayada. Not to mention some bigger maintenance timing in 10k. Talks the keeping it pristine talk but not showing it. The MT isn't THAT rare and his mileage quotes be highly dubious.
    I'd offer him 6k...
    He shows pics of the sunroof open...which means it probably leaks. I'd look at the headliner for water stains.
    When I was born my Mom made my Dad sell his signal orange Porsche 914 to get something that could fit the growing family and dog. This land-yacht, in buttercream yellow, is what was on the other end of that trade in.
    He never let me forget what I made him give up, even long after he got another Pcar years later, always with a wink and a smile but a tinge of seriousness just to keep me guessing.
    No, I will not be bidding on this thing.
    not wagon but… back to a divided household. We were going to replace wife’s XC90 with a newer model; but wound up with a Q7 instead. Anything I need to know or keep an eye out for?
