Anyone in the collective know anything about Baja singletrack? There have been rumblings of a dirtbike trip down that way, but I would much rather not go blaze doubletrack.
Bib mousse or die.
Cactus love to eat tubes
A lot of Baja singletrack exemplifies the "keep it secret, keep it safe" moto motto.
Many of us have the gpx, but you kind of have to know someone to get them, as it should be. That said, the readily available trails like Window Rock and Campershell are totally decent. I'm heading to MX tomorrow, in fact, but I'll be on the Copper Canyon area this time.

Motocamping trip in Mexico is going well so far. I've found crazy "roads" and great campsites. Even some snow!![]()

^ Nice. What’s that obelisk-y thing in the second picture - part of a bridge or what?
FKNA beautiful
Excellent. Do you carry a small cooler?

Ended up scrubbing that trip, went and rode in the states, seems MX has great single track, but nothing much better than whats availble in the states, unless you're in it for the warm or the being in MX part.
Copper Canyon is AMAZING! You solo? Don't skip Cascada Basasechi if you're riding by it.
Copper Canyon has some amazing desolate terrain. I've never been 'scared' riding two track except there, hadn't seen a car in 8 hours, no cell service, nothing, one mistake and it would have been a pretty serious situation.
Amazing views, and the people are awesome too, I can't recall the highway I rode out on, but it made tail of the dragon look like it was for beginners.
That was a bridge foundation from the railway way above.
I was in the Barrancas for arout a week, and spent most of that on dirt. Much of it is pretty serious enduro terrain, so def no cooler!
From Guanaceví to Cosalá I was on a totally ludicrous dirt segment that passed through some really remote villages that nevertheless had several $100k trucks and $40k SXSs in them, along with groups of armed dudes. They are universally super nice to me once they figure out that I'm a tourist.
I then camped on the beach N of Mazatlan before riding the Espinazo (40), which is like a 65 mile Dragon with no traffic and zero speed enforcement.
Then I did a 200k loop down into another badass canyon (the Durango/Sinaloa canyons & scenery are every bit at incredible as the Barrancas) on really rough roads covered with 2-4" of silt for extra challenge.
Now I'm near Torreón, where Ms CE is coming to meet me in hopes that there won't be clouds during the eclipse.
¡Viva México!
It won't let me upload pics right now but I'll try later

First day back after dropping my bike on my foot on a techy hill climb in November, rupturing all the Lisfranc ligaments in my foot, and getting surgery to install a screw across my midfoot.
Goddamn I forgot how fun it is to bound through smooth desert singletrack.
When I offered my daughter’s husband’s sister’s daughter a ride, she jumped on ready to drive.
Uh, no. I’ll run this one.

Awwww...
Your dog just ate an avocado!
MS, when I'd go to my brothers house on my Harley his kids couldn't wait to go for a ride. If I went with my car, they'd just walk away unhappy. I was nothing without the Harley.
Spent the day out in Wendover area desert yesterday.***
Looking to head south from SLC for some camping and desert riding this weekend. Maybe go all the way to Moab, or not. Anyone riding out that way this week?
***tried to attach pics but cannot for some reason.
Checking out the Vernal area with a mtb this week but hope to head back with the dirtbike soon. Probably trying to make a few moab trips out this May too.
anybody fluent on the singletrack RE: Chimney Rock/Woodside and/or The Swell north of the highway?
Ridden 5moh and all the color trails on the south side of 70. Looking to explore north. Harder the better.
Thanks.
Some friends are wanting to ride the Kokopelli on the dirt bikes in a few weeks. Anyone have a GPS map or any resources specific to motos for the ride?
Still, so good!
