Being a better athlete and more well-rounded seems like a better outcome for any athlete. If you're elite, D1 level, you will get noticed playing high school ball, and have your opportunities. Travel ball is a great way for travel ball teams, coaches, and tournaments to make a boat load of money on mediocre athletes.

I heard a high-level baseball coach say all of this, I have no kids and was never better than a middling varsity athlete, so luckily I never had to worry about it.

Off topic a bit, but I have a few questions for the East Coasters here. This June, my son will be playing in a weeklong tournament in Cooperstown. Other than the Hall of Fame, is there anything to do in that area? The kids stay in dorms with their team, so I’m thinking the wife and I will have a lot of spare time. Anything worth checking out? After the tournament, we are going to shoot down and catch a game at Fenway and at Citi Field. Any tips on where to sit in those stadiums?
if you’re skipping the number one team in the east do you have preferences for like the fifth or sixth best hike? most mature all nude dancer? least itchy poison ivy patch to stroll through?

i’ll get my top AI on it!

[emoji23]. Technically I’ll see your boys when they play in Boston, but they’re on the road when I’m in NYC. Sadly, I’ll be in Cooperstown when the Dodgers go get a few wins in Yankee Stadium.

The same holds true for soccer. Our first academy program touted itself as a path to development and the best competition. In reality the directors would let any kid with two legs and a pulse in to the tune of $2,500 a year (uniform, tournament fees and travel excluded; U6 age at the time), and then they would check out for the majority of the season, focusing only on the handful of players they wanted to promote to their higher level teams.

We thankfully got out of that and found a club program that actually does focus on development and good competition and encourages multiple sports. In the end, my son likes playing for his school the most so we'll probably drop the club team too.
I still call it The Jake.

hes focussed on best places to see a game. New Yankee stadium sucks

Alias, go ask in the Upstate thread. Cooperstown is a cool little town but not t ton to do.
Fenwaysit in the outfield near the bullpens or I saw the DOgers lose game one of the world series from the upper deck above third base, no poles in way up there

Citi below the pepsi porch or lower outfield, all the good food etc is out there and the baseline seats are all angled wierd so you have to turn sidways to watch the pitcher

My bold take: Glasnow wins the Cy Young this year. He’s must watch tv right now.

If you’re into museums, Fenimore Art Museum, Farmers Museum. I haven’t been to Fenimore, Farmers is kind of cool. Several breweries, Cider Mills

He’ll get around 185. Or roughly 100 more than Cole.

When he’s got all 3 of his pitches working, he’s damn near unhittable. 14 K’s in 88 pitches yesterday. The least pitches ever thrown in a 14 K outing in MLB history.

Glasnow is really good. Right now he’s leading in ip, strikeouts, and batters faced. that’s a pretty good start. And maybe he finally puts a full season together but in 8 prior 120ip is the high water mark. I wouldn’t hate to see a better than Koufax season.

Anyway, i don’t hate these Twin Cities unis or Edouard Julien.

Here’s a link to the complaint
    https://www.documentcloud.org/docume...hara-complaint

eeesh went on for years and the investigation was before he ever signed with the parking lots

    edit, lol
I’m gonna be honest, I ended up losing a lot of money on crypto the last couple years and I took a huge hit obviously with the sports too.
    and what a fucking degenerate
During this period, the 35966 Records reflect total winning bets of $142,256,769.74, and total losing bets of $182,935,206.68, leaving a total net balance of negative $40,678,436.94.8

Josh Naylor and younger brother Bo Naylor celebrated national brothers day yesterday in a unique way. First, by hitting a couple home runs in the same frame (4th pair to ever do it), then, by Josh hitting the game-tying RBI in the 10th, and then Bo hitting the game-winning RBI thereafter.

Fun stuff for your league-leading in run differential Guardos (+35)

I want to know what the $10 bet was on. lol

These bullets pretty much clear Shohei as far as I am concerned:

    • "An HSI Special Agent who is a fluent and native speaker of the Japanese language reviewed approximately 9,700 pages of text messages between Victim A and MIZUHARA between 2020 and 2024. Based on his review, I am aware of the following: "
    • "There was no discussion of sports betting between MIZUHARA and Victim A in the MIZUHARA Phone."
    • "There was no discussion between MIZUHARA and Victim A that mentioned BOOKMAKERS 1, 2, or 3, Associate 1, or the named accountholder of the x1530 Account. "
    • "I have also obtained gambling records from legal gambling casinos and websites, including MGM, DraftKings, and FanDuel. All three companies found records and a history of gambling for MIZUHARA, but found no records for Victim A. "
    • "On March 25, 2024, Victim A provided consent to law enforcement to search his phone. An HSI Special Agent who is a fluent and native speaker of the Japanese language that I have spoken with reviewed a forensic image Victim A’s phone and did not find any evidence to suggest that Victim A was aware of, or involved in, MIZUHARA’s illegal gambling activity or payment of those debts. "

Earlier in the complaint they state no betting on baseball, so it was probably like $10 on ATK Kolkata because mizuhara liked betting on soccer 24/7.
