very aggressive behaviour, don't cunt off your nose to spite your face. I must inform you that Italian women are by far the hairiest in Europe. Austrian und German are far better groomed. Last thing you want is a huge hairy minge in the sauna. It spoils the atmosphere in there

It worked out the same as it did for Hitler. You’re going to have to avoid a whole bunch of European countries is you’re trying to avoid a history of fascism. You’re giving Americans a bad name with your stupidity and ignorance

I think it’s related to Zermatt now being on the IKON Pass, an American kid was killed and the prospect of eventual legal cases against the resort.
I don’t know the details but one of the victims in Zermatt was an ex-colleague skiing with his son (who fortunately survived). He’d previously successfully summited Everest among other impressive Alpine feats so was in no way lacking in experience.
And the funeral for Adam George, the guide (originally from New Hampshire) killed in the helicopter accident took place yesterday. Very moving send off and eulogies from the Swiss and US Mountain guide communities as well as the families.
There are GoFundMe’s for his (mountain guide) wife and daughter as well as for the girlfriend and 2 young children of the deceased helicopter pilot in case you want to contribute.
If you ski THAT terrain as a conscious decision in a 4+, you're most definitely lacking in experience or have a death wish. No matter if some sherpas dragged you up some clogged high alpine Highway.
If you just ski into that without thinking about it or don't have Equipment ( hours buried) like some of the other victims, you don't have any experience and shouldnt be out there anyway.
It's a war of the mind and we're armed to the teeth.
pretty much how I see it. Not a chance my 15yo kid would be anywhere near that.
What's the actual facts? did they ski the face one by one that avi'd and gather togther below and remotely trigger it?did they traverse under it and remotely trigger it? did someone trigger it from above them?

There is no official accident report. Just second hand evidence. All in one group in the video when it's triggered, long burial time with search dogs. And so on...
And most obvious: it was a fucking 4+, several villages were cut off because of the danger, you had 1.5m of fresh with hurricane force winds and a 40 degree+ slope with cliffs and a terrain trap. If that is not a Red Flag, what is?

^^Totally agree. But... In North America, if you see a bunch of untracked powder under the lift or close to it, you jump in. It's been bombed, it's been controlled, you really don't think twice, even in steep alpine terrain if it's "in bounds" and "opened" by ski patrol. I can totally see a 15 year old kid doing that if he's not familiar with skiing in Europe, if he and his parents haven't done due diligence and educated themselves on the differences between skiing in North American and skiing in the Alps. It would behoove IKON to put some words of warning/education on their website regarding this critical difference in how ski areas are managed. I just looked at their site and there's nothing. That said, it was really up to the kid's parents to understand this and educate their kid about high-danger conditions, and at the very least make sure they all had proper safety gear. I would guess kids in Europe are aware of these things from an early age, but it is very different in NA when it comes to resort skiing.
