Hell yeh man! I saw the news this morning - almost couldn't believe it would happen this year!

Still kicking myself in the ass for not going up north this weekend...my parents were at WF and i got the full report from my dad from saturday...then that bluebird sunday...missed a good one! Glad to see the season hanging in there though, nice setup for some April turns hopefully

    Awesome Slides stoke.

This is going to seem lame in comparison...

Did a 4-hour sesh at Okemo this morning. Got to the base area at 9:03 and they were already directing cars to the lower main lot. WTF? Doesn't anybody work or go to school any more?

Once again, I have to rail at the most fucked up lift layout east of Solitude. Just a shitshow. But I made my way over to the South Face as my plan was to play the sun a bit.

Stump Jumper is always a good rip and didn't disappoint. I then went down a trail that said Moguls Ahead. Yikes! The snow had warmed yesterday and frozen overnight (it was 11* at my house 15 miles south) and was a bit reef-y. Did a couple more laps and decided to head toward the main part of the mountain. On my way there, I ventured down a trail I had never skied before. Outrage. Reminded me a bit of Castlerock at da Bush but only about 400' of vert. It was a pleasant find.

Did a few laps off the Sunburst 6-pack and then headed over to Jackson Gore. On the way, I headed down to the Solitude chair so I wasn't just traversing. Fun bumps there and the snow had definitely started softening.

Did a few laps over at JG and rode the lift with a guy that knew MMP. Small world.

Lots of really bad skiers at Okemo and the number of school age kids was noticeable and a little shocking. I would say good parenting but, if they were really good parents, they would pay for these kids to go to ski school so they can learn how not to ski like their parents.

Awesome photos, All. Skiing has been going off for the last week. I suck at having any patience for stoke photos. Nice to see so many getting after it. We deserve it.

I will be at Jay tomorrow to hopefully catch a sunny day before the temps start to spike and clouds move in. Shoot me a PM if you’re heading that way.

East Coast Roll Call 23/24_The Guns Are Blowing

After Sunday at Magic I knew I had to take advantage of the snow and a perfect forecast for Monday. Following a brief chat with the boss I cleared myself. Driving through ludlow on sun afternoon reminded me why I avoid that town on the wknds at all costs. What a shitshow. Never liked that hill either, don’t get me started on the lifts…. Anyway.
I’d originally thought now was the time to get back to MRG - been way too long, but alas I decided on another old stomping ground. I know K delivers the goods , it’s a scene for sure. But like ludlow, you can have it - I’ll be at Pico given the opportunity and Monday was the perfect opportunity- a comp ticket - an empty lot and wall to wall snow. Stayed cold all day midwinter conditions with a blue bird sky. Nothing beats that view. What a day.
Rolling over to A/B slope so many good memories. And the sights just got better…

I don’t know of any states in New England that do a public school Spring break this early even though it’s Easter week.

My legs are still a bit sore after skiing Magic on Sunday! Good on you for being able to ski yesterday. Pico is such a cool hill, and those packed powder bumps look f-ing sweet.

I had a feeling we crossed paths a few times - was there 9-3 - Spent most of the wknd in the company of people I’ve skied with for almost 50 years so that was even more of a bonus.

On top of that - I realized my wingman in the jersey alps was in the region, Gepeto and I connected in the am and ripped all day, although he went deeper then me I had to call it quits by 3 - think he made it to the end and then I’m pretty sure finished it off with a stop at Ted’s…. Winning. All around .

Great skiing, great hill, great company, skiing is FUN!

But not with the day. The Pico Vibe is a step back we should all take. Not unlike Magic or Platty

All good things must come to an end...

Went upta Killington today with a non-mag neighbor and after grabbing 8th chair, we found great snow on Skye and Needles and did multiple laps. We then headed for K-Peak in search of more goodness on East Fall but by the time we got there (had to do a run on Supahstah first) the snow was transitioning over to glue. Highline was no better and Cascade was downright unfun. Hobbled back to the car at the base o' Bear and left promptly at 12:00. Lunch at the Long Trail Brewery was the highlight of the day. But not as good as that fish-wich from Ted's looked.

^^ yup, it's muddy again in the flatlands; on to loud powder and corn. but we have a snowpack. the way first half of march was going many more areas would already be off-season.

and yea: @gepeto: which ted's did you hit?
