100 watt tube amp is the most impractical amp one could own. You best be playing pretty large venues and/or hate your neighbors/family/housemates and have a desire to go deaf. I never turn my 20 watt up higher than 5 at home. Solid states are nice for home practice.

    Show Us Yer Guitar Quiver

Every guitarist should have a nice half stack. Gotta keep everyone else yelling at you to turn down. Attention whores.

I’ll be keeping up in any room you’re playing with my class-d micro and a 112.

You have no idea how off the rails I've gone on reverb of late.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting the fedex guy to sign for a new axe, unboxing it, putting a strap on it, throwing it over my shoulder, and I go to play a lick before plugging it in. I play just a few notes, not even an entire lick, before being interrupted by the UPS guy who needed a signature for another guitar. That'll never happen again in a million years.

OK, I want to share a little about this unicorn that I got for $350.
Very ‘custom’ official Fender Nashville Telecaster. What’s unusual is that it has two different single coils, and a bridge humbucker with a coil tap (but it’s all stock).
Another odd think about it is that it has a Strat Belly Cut. Superb neck, nice and low, but really, really chimey. Very unique sounding tele.
I got it in mint condition, but recently a ding appeared on the front, which is a total mystery. Oh, well. Click image for larger version.

See how good? I'd say more like a great influence.

That is wild. Especially the belly bevel. I hope it sounds as fun as it looks.

Yea that tele is fucking sick.

Its funny to me that guitar makers often seem unwilling to give people what they want. like I bet that tele would sell great if it was available off the shelf so to speak.

Like, fender does roasted pine bodies, and they'll do rosewood necks, but they won't do them both together unless you do the mod shop thing. Roasted pine and rosewood seems like the premium combo tons of people would want.

I guess. Damn, had to cancel my buy.

I have no idea what you mean by 20 watters ;-). Might be a couple 50's around too. I did go down the modeling rabbit hole a while back. Got rid of all of it. Already deaf.

From what little I can find, mine was a Japan only model. Curious that they didn’t put a different pick guard on to match the humbucker, I don’t think many were made.

Any MIJ Fender is worth $350 if it’s functional and intact. I regret selling a few MIJ instruments. That said, nothing with Fender on the headstock made after 1964 is really a unicorn. Maybe some odd custom shop stuff but mostly that stuff is just fancy inlay and gold hardware.

Isn't 67 supposed to be a sweet year for fenders? I've never bothered to learn the ins and outs of guitars I'll never feel like aren't overvalued and will never owned but I feel like I've heard that.

Only vintage guitar that i will never be able to afford that i kind of sort of 'get' the price and lust after, is pre war martin dreadnaughts. I would love one.

And yea, I guess the two above pictured teles are cool and pretty similar. While the belly bevel isn't really that big of a deal in terms of playing or listening experience, it does seem like a crazy detail if done by the factory, something very uncommon. Not an option I've ever heard of.

Good god. It took me a while to figure out what I was looking at. Theres adoohicky that goes through the guitar to bend thebridge.

Not only am I not coordinated enough to make it sound good, I know for sure I'd absolutely fuck the bridge and tuning stability etc. That seems terrifying to use. The 'sword of damacles' bridge option.

Goddammit, I don’t know how to embed a YouTube video anymore, something changed with what parts to copy and put in brackets.

My fender branded made in indonesia FMT HH teles have the belly bevel, but I've never seen any other tele in person that does. i think a made in usa tele with humbuckers, arch top, belly bevel, and the set neck with the ergonomic shoulder would sell great but what do I know.

    Theres this though. https://www.guitarcenter.com/Fender/...41499.99%20USD

good god that cannot be the url.

Thats wild, I had no idea about the byrds connection. I had never heard of this gizmo before. From thevideo, it appears you do not need extreme coordination, but in fact, can make itsound pretty good by just doing the whitest old guy dance moves possible with your guitar.

And I looked it up and it does sound like the travel range is limited so its not possible, or at least not easy, to fuck up your brigde and action.

    I say go for it.

Low wattage tubes are excellent for home usage. Only issue I have is that half my playing time is in such short durations that the tubes don’t get warm. For those times I like a solid state or modeling pedal with powered speakers.
