Broads to Mill B via Eeny. Little bit of dirt/rock on the way in/out. Top 1" sluffing pretty far up high, started to take out the new snow underneath as you got lower/hotter. Decent skiing. Nearly rain at the S turn.

Pretttty good on the Emma's this morning. Couple of small storm slabs ~10" deep. Somehow I still can never figure out where to ski over there.

Probably snowed another inch in porter around 430. Took the dog for a romp up the road.

Snowbird was good if packed today.
It's a Wednesday. Doesn't anyone work in this town anymore?

I felt it was fairly uncrowded next door at Alta, skied great all day. I guess call the crowds moderate considering the forecast hype?

And the Snowbird hordes would explain why it took me an hour and a half just to get out of the canyon.

Cold and windy. Lots of great turns and lots of weird ones. Was disappointed to not catch bass benches but walk on trams are better. Baldy gud. Good, cold winter vibe up here

In case it hasn't been clear in the thousands of comments I have posted here and previously on powmag in the last 20+ years; I fucking love Alta.

Watching my son rip around the resort I have loved for decades literally made me weep with joy.

It was windy. But it was sunny. I stayed in the lower half of Snowbird after 1 run up Little Cloud. It actually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. There was some soft snow even up high in the blowing, swirling winds. Snow softened up after noon.

Of course locals have special line privileges. It is called “Locals Prerogative” and allows cutting ahead of non-locals.

    Unbelievable great photos.
    Wish you posted more...
Crankskier, that's the backside of what was historically called Shane's Chute. Now called any number of things.
Offa the S ridge of Superior.
I always called it Shane's chute west...
