If you have touring gear another option would be to go ski up at the shuttered Spout Springs ski area on Tollgate summit. Who knows, you might want to buy the place, it’s for sale. $1.25 million

Lines Saturday at Crystal were surprisingly mild? Laps were quick and fun.

Sounds like GruntCam has a competitor with this all new OofCam.

If I ever remember the GoPro I'll add my own contribution from OhShitCam.

We did manage to get some xc time up in the Olympics. Absolutely nukage the entire time, could only imagine what is was like in the upper elevations.

    Great shot!

Anyone planning to be up at Stevens on Thursday and want to ski? I might take my mom up and get a day in.

I'm planning going but I have a slight glitch to work out

Hello PNW Mags! We’re taking a lap through your zone. Not much skiing I’m afraid as family adulting duty calls…

Mrs. single, myself, and our Kid are looking for some driveway camping for a college tour week in the PNW. A flat spot to park our F250/Lance camper rig would be appreciated, an extension cord is a bonus, and bathroom privileges a luxury.

The Kid flies into Seattle, we’re picking them up, and then looping around in our camper to check out U of Puget Sound, Evergreen, Willamette, Lewis and Clark, Reed, and Whitman…

    Seattle area 3/9, Tacoma 3/10, Olympia 3/11, Salem 3/12, Portland 3/13-14, Walla Walla 3/15, Spokane 3/16-17.

Can offer up a jug of New England maple syrup and good karma for a place to park for the night.

Thanks for considering it and feel free to PM if you got a spot or any leads/ info.

After last weekend's ikonic festivities, this morning's blueb!rd conditions and country club vibe were just what the doctor ordered.

Bellingham skiers: What do you guys do for passes? And how hard is it to get a Baker pass as a first timer? If I were rich I'd just buy full ikon and go for Baker pass but I'm not, so there's like a 6% chance I buy a base ikon, but only if I'm pretty likely to be able to get a Baker pass...

I think the window for first timers closed in a matter of hours. This year they offered a midweek-only pass which I assume gets you into the pool of returning pass holders next year. It took longer for that one to sell out.

Baker plus a 5 day Edge card here. Get your computer and account set up and ready to go before passes go on sale. You'll want to treat it like buying concert tickets.

    Crystal Mini Trip Report

Wife and I snow chased from Maine to our favorite hill. Wish I could say storm chased but the cycle came to an end on Sunday. No worries though. Four days of cold temps and blue bird skis, small crowds made for some awesome groomer zooming. The off trail was OK manageable chop. Powder Bowl is always fun. North was good up high but down low kind of beat you up. South still had almost untracked. Call me a nerd but middle Ferk is freakin awesome when you have the whole slope to yourself and the pack pow is good. Was cool watching the junior freeride comp directly above chair 6 base. Up and coming rippers for sure.

I'll be at white pass tomorrow. If anybody is interested in spinning some laps, hit me up.
