Heh. No, well, not really. My dad is reaching the end of his time with us and his car will be mine soon. Besides the fact that it's a sedan and I'm allergic to driving them it's a brand that my wife has a severe emotional resistance to so I'll be trading it off quickly. MB's with less than 11k miles have good trade values so it'll get me into something I want and need so I can put the POS, aka the grey blob, in the driveway except for when it's really needed. The primary goal is 30+ mpg with AWD, and it has to be fun enough to drive that I don't mind doing 500+ mile days and reliable enough that I can do 1500 miles a week working this year and it CAN'T BE a Subaru because - Fuck Subaru.
I've heard nothing but good things about those Mazda 3 hatches. Good luck GL.
Does anyone know if you can fit 190cm skis inside a Rav4 with one side of the rear bench folded down?
I still call it The Jake.
That would be awesome thanks. Renting one this week and basically ditching it when we connect with the rest of our crew. Just need enough space to lay the 190s diagonally over the one side of the rear bench/center console and still have the other side of the bench serve as a seat for the kiddo.
Thanks Chup!

are you counting on getting the car you actually reserved when you show up at the counter? hehe. that’s a… bold strategy there.
check out the sweet toyota trd pickup avis done give me… this version comes with a gotdamned 60” bed.
can’t even fit half my skis in there.
so fucking short, they give you the inches instead of the feet to try to make it sound bigger.
fact.
Just don't brake hard or they'll end up in the nav screen.

That's what I'm trying to be prepared against. The Rav4 (or similar) is what was reserved, and what I'll probably end up with is the same 4 door Wrangler I always seem to be given which I know they'll fit in.
Good to know, thanks again.
That's the boy's job. Hold the cargo down son, Dad's got some Duke Boys shit to pull off here.

it’s top speed is also it’s cruising speed…
fact.
^ My first car was a ‘60 veedub with a 1200 cc/36 raging horses. Fabric sunroof, kick valve for gas reserve instead of a fuel gauge, 6v electric…and a surfboard rack on top that took a good 5-10 mph off the top speed. Rocked my high school years, but it didn’t rally well.
Guys. Bobby was last seen in FL, you think there's a chance he's left the exotic car world behind and is now selling golf carts? Looks like a good business.

@MS that gives me an idea, I think we need a 'What was your first car?' thread. Mine was an 81 Datsun 200SX 5spd hatch. I'd love to find one now and build it the way I should've back then.
Some fancy goddam 1st cars for you blokes. I had a rusty POS Buick:
