Thanks. Not an acquaintance but sad nonetheless.

I hope some mag holds down my position in tram line for first box.

I probably have about 2 feet of new at my house, and the plow just put a 4 foot berm in front of my driveway so I may be moving snow for a bit.

Anyone that has been to the Virg for breakfast or lunch would recognize Kelly. Super good guy. Didn’t know him outside of small talk with my fellas lunch group but I know he will be missed.

His family must be crushed. RIP Kelly.

Ski hill road is closed!!, they're plowing like mad dogs. Stay off Ski Hill RD, They will need to get employees up the hill to get the place running.

Very sad news about the deceased skier.

Stayed at a buddies place in Drictor last night and told E I’d run up to Alta this morning to drop some stuff off. Made it 10 feet out the driveway before getting stuck, dug out and tucked it back in. Was before seeing this notice:

Buddy took a sled up the road and said it just got worse.

Stay safe out there, the wind is nuts.

Very sad to hear about the fatality. Condolences to friends, family, and anyone who knew him.

Helping rideit’s better half clear some snow this morning, then heading up to the Village. Gonna try to miss some of the morning madhouse, shit will still ski amazing.

And looks like the Ghee is going to be CLOSED today.... Yikes!!! Judging by how strong the winds are cranking down here in Alta not surprising. - Sherrif's Dept just announced Road is closed for the day

    Fuck that guy.
First year I go up to Jackson Hole I've been corresponding with Djongo, and he says meet me at the base of Tram.
I'll be wearing all black and gave a grey beard.
I get off the bus near the tram base, and there he is!

I come up and shout "Djongo!"
    He looks at me quizically.
I say "Change for a nickel??"
He looks really uncomfortable, like I'm panhandling him.

    Not Djongo, no change.

Pretty sure my plow guy is going to need something other than his truck to deal with this. Edit: I mean the berm to my driveway on the right side.

Last hour yesterday at the Ghee was so good.

It became warm overnight and we got a ton of really heavy snow Teton Valley. My driveway was like 14 inches of 20% SWE.

Today was the first time (allegedly) in history that Targhee didn't open because ski hill road is f'd. Targhee Snotel reported 22 inches of 13% SWE (2.9 inches SWE!) in a 24 hour period from 8:00 yesterday to 8:00 today at 9260'. It would have been heavier snow on ski hill below 8k feet, which I'm sure made plowing miserable.

Anyone else see the head on collision between the Targhee blue bus and the F150 yesterday afternoon? Looked like the F150 slid into the oncoming land and smacked the bus on the last switchback heading down.

Lastly, I posted a couple months ago about how we were setting the all time record for least snow ever recorded in the Tetons. Targhee is officially above average for the season 51 days after the last day that we had an all time low record. I'd like the thank Django for going to Europe and JBski for finally deciding to have his ACL repair this week.

...It started dumping again as I was typing this.

The driveway is filling in again with this squall, our plow driver went home to switch to a grader but was turned around by all the slide offs on 2000 S.

Snow King is/was probably the call today. Doesn’t happen often, but hoo boy, when the stars align, that is the jackpot winner.

You betcha it is! Plenty of folks out there laughing at those lines at the village. And…it looks like Casper and Teton are done for the day too.

I hope my Covid bs leaves by tomorrow morning!
