We brought a range finder out after and estimated that the guest freefell for around 275' and only reinjured an old back injury! Crazy to think a random skier from Australia has gone bigger that Jamie Pierre!

Those are some wild stories. Props to Taghee patrol for responding out of bounds and saving both people.

Holy Diver? The Last in Line?

Today was unexpectedly awesome. I expected to go on a tour to a lesser-traveled N-facing oasis. Viz near zero at 10k+ shut that plan down, but when life gives you lemons you ski untracked pow instead.

I’ll be back. ((Arnold S. voice))
Hah! We talked about that as a house guest brought normal cookies and that was my first question … [emoji23]

Ski Butler sucks in general, but the worst ski Butler experience I have ever heard of occurred today in Jackson. I’m sitting at bin 22 with my buddies one of whom was a good skier 20 years ago but who has probably not skied in five years did business with ski Butler. he staying at hotel Jackson and he’s probably spending a $1000/night. . The concierge recommended ski Butler. The last time I skied with him he was decent. He is 6’2” 225 pounds. He had an appointment with ski Butler concierge service where they would meet him at his hotel at 6 o’clock and fit him with skis, boots bindings poles, etc. He left the bar/restaurant to meet ski Butler at 6 PM. They right never showed up. When he returns to the bar we contacted Skibutler.. They said that they were running late and they were going to fit him with Rossignol Experience 76 175-ish underfoot. I asaid that was ridiculous and told him that he would need at least something between 85 and 90 underfoot and 182, 185 in length. We ask them to drop them off and I would set the dins on the bindings. They later texted and said they have nothing in that length or that width became belligerent and asked whether he wanted to cancel his contract. In the meantime, I want to ski with him in the morning tomorrow. What the fuck is wrong with this company? Very disappointing.

That’s funny. I grew up with John McGinley. He was one of my best friends first grade through 12th.

You can just stop at Nomad Sports under the Alpenhoff and get set up, last non JHMR shop in the village.

They have Head, Kastle, Armada and others- sister store is Mudroom under Caldera House- tighter space and slightly different selection Bomber and Stockli.

that's annoying about ski butler. Hoback Sports just down the street has always treated me right.
Schindler- are you skiing all weekend? Looks to be springy conditions.

Sorry to hear Djongo is on the injured list- hope it's a minor one so you can be ok for your Euro trip
and kokomas too- Did I miss what happened? damn sorry to hear

and edit to add that it's great to see Self Jupiter and SailCat post too as the cookie enabler

Been having a great family trip through big sky, jh, and now targhee. The 9yo is making leaps and bounds here.
Hooked up with djongo and the rest of the pnw crew. Great times and fun hooning around for a couple hours through the crowds. Thanks DJ for showing us around . It was a pleasure to meet you. Should any of you guys make your way up to Banff I'd be more than happy to return the favor !

Low on motivation today due to warm Valley temps (I think I get the reverse of "normal" seasonal depression!). Felt off skinning, skinned in a t-shirt... Had amazing, moody light all the way up. Dreamy, creamy pow on the way down. Felt like winter & finished up psyched.

Missed the whole face being lit up through a break in the clouds by 5', though!

Oh no! Been hearing a bunch of stories about folks dealing with stuff the last week+. Otherwise has seemed like a relatively mild winter for that kind of thing. Hope you are back to 100% quickly.

Headed to JH second week of March. My wife will be needing rentals or demos. She’s usually on Rossi Sky 7. Any suggestions for where to go?

Great seeing Djongo, even if just for a few mins. Spring conditions all weekend and a bit windy up top. Still fun though. BB: skiing tomorrow and Tuesday. Nice to make a few turns with softer, but I do that a lot in LCC and DV. Hoping this storm delivers tomorrow.

Djongo, the few turns we had together sure we're fun!
Can't believe we crossed paths randomly after I exited Casper: I was like "I recognize that voice ... And jacket ... And King of Miscreants no helmet!
And set off in hot pursuit!

Thank you my friend for the hospitality.
As always, you go above and beyond.

Sweet terrain and deep snow .... ahhhh
