Getting my 16 yo son into tele, scored him some brand new never skied T1’s at the thrift store in Edwards(stop there every time we drive by and always score) for $50. The BSL is good but he’s swimming in them width wise. I have no experience with intuition(been a zipfitter for 25ish years), do they expand and take up space when you hear them up and mold them?

It depends on which model of liners they are. Post some pics and the collective will know.

I would recommend some thicker insoles to start with. They will stabilize his feet and take up some volume as well.

Is the shell fit correct? Hell if I know, I scored them at a thrift store and those cheap bastards don’t have a boot fitter! All boots are $50. Thrift store is next to the kayak store, cross the eagle river head east from the round about, about a mile down on the right.

Also when you mold the Intuitions, the tighter you buckle the boot, the more you compress the foam. So paradoxically if you want the liner to take up more space to tighten up the fit, you want loose buckles when molding. If you clamp down tight on the hot puffy liner it will mold as thin as possible and you get a looser fit.

If you want to spend lots compared to your current price of entry, intuition makes liners designed for different volume filling needs. “High volume” take up the most room in the shell.

IMO the rong shell with an intuition will still be the rong shell but with a more expensive liner

you can try taking up space with sole or superfeet foobeds, or pads stuck to the liner which does work

My feet don't like the stock t-1 liner but they don' like any non powerwrap liner

and for the record my T-1's are the rong size which doesnt seem to matter with Tele
