I’ll be out there DJ, will shoot ya a text in the AM

Today was great, skied some more new for the season in bounds terrain that yielded some steep untracked turns. Spent all day between Thunder and Sublette

Marshall’s R98 comps continue to impress, further solidifying a cold dead hands position in the quiver.

Beautiful day in Jackson today… sun, no wind, and very carve-able surface great for playing tourist. Thanks and praises to Djongo and east or bust for guiding us around.

Today somehow ranked up there with one of the best laps I've ever had in this zone, top to bottom. I was pleasantly surprised as I thought things might be "affected."

Cader I think I rode a lift with you this AM and talked about trail running while you were on your way to Mary's. Good to see that you're having fun. How long are you around??

Nice, I almost asked you for change for a nickel lol. Liked the cast setup! I'm riding through Tuesday; hope to ride a lap or go on a short tour if you're gonna be up tomorrow or Tuesday.

Is the video from y'all's tour today? Looks amazing!

Mary's was fun today, little tracked right under the boot pack but soft if you traversed high under the cliffs across the way. I wasn't the only one with that idea so I'm sure it saw some more tracks this afternoon.

The Grand had some sweet lenticular clouds over it today.

Ha, that def would have been a good opportunity to ask for change. Nice running into you!

The vid is from yesterday. Today we were on some different terrain.

Got your DM. Will shoot you a text.

Thanks! A couple things came together. Couldn't believe the top-to-bottom snow quality.

Thanks! There is a book coming, but at this point I am thinking of a fall release / stoke for *next* winter, rather than a mid-/late-season release.

A funny thing: For whatever reason when I posted Friday evening, I happened to notice the total # of view of this thread.

Since then (2 days), we had 20 posts/comments.... and 2,000+ views.

Wow — lots of people looking & not interacting. First time I've ever paid attention to that.

Hope they're leaving with some stoke or info or other good stuff!

Hope everyone had a great weekend in the snow!

I read this thread daily to get stoke. Same for the Montana, Tahoe and a few other threads. Not sure I'll get on skis this year, so it is appreciated.

Fun meeting people on the hill. Today @11am Casper meetup was East or Bust, skiinggirl, StevieD, Djongo, skier220, and myself. This mountain is incredible.

Super-fast snow and pretty good viz made for some fun laps with EoB today. Showing Harry some new acreage at the vill was nice and smooth.

Looking forward to incoming mags too. Singlecross' departed today...ski yas again soon.

Ha, I like how wind noise was picked up as music.

My buddy (long lost maggot jbski) entered the line from a spot near the tree up high and right and hit a rock pretty hard. His base was somehow fine.

West-slope Teton limestone is young and not usually so base-friendly!

Enjoyed skiing with ya today. Picking my way into lines over the mini cliffs in Das Boat was more enjoyable with a friend.

Couple pics of NameRedacted finding a way down into the rocks and looking back up at the goat paths.

I agree with this sentiment...the JH Vibe is strong... I expect big things over the next few days...

As far as the Tahoe thread, it has degenerated into bitching about traffic, pisspoor mountain management at the Ikon hills and underperforming snow storms...it's my local thread for now...

I was just surprised by approx 100 views:1 post ratio (was something like 2000-3000 views and 20 posts), but maybe that is true for all threads. Never noticed.

My buddy is super tall, so it was only boot-top here (no, billowing up and hitting his knees doesn't mean knee-deep ), but it was soft and untracked for 3,000'.

I rolled off the bus this morning at JHMR, hustled to get on the tram that was just pulling in, down the bowl to thunder for a few laps in the trees and over to Casper for 11 AM meetup. No lines anywhere and the snow is good - chalk off piste, fast smooth groomers, pow out the gates. I feel grateful this is my local thread.

Second, on the better vibes. Much more stoke. I can't wait to come back (maybe in march). The force is strong in the TGR flag ship.

Wow, the incoming mag bus is really full.

    Mr. Mike in today.
    Pluffenmeister in today.
Thefortrees, 2Funky, Shroom, Kopi Red, and Skilyft next Tuesday.
    Harry's here.
    Ski220's here.
    Skiinggirl is here.
Caderader and NameRedacted on the west slope...

    I know there's some I've missed...Holla out!

Thanks for the vibe stoke everyone. We gots plenty to bitch about. But this ain't the place for it.
It snowed a skiff last night; so, there's that.

Banging around the smooth stuff yesterday provided a few 55+mph laps. Peeps got out earlier than expected but damn if those groomies weren't flawless shaving.
Off piste still choice in the north facing and doable when the sun warms the SxSE exposures.

How's the conditions down Pebble Creek way?

Good skiing with ya caderader! Glad we got to connect. Couple of bama boys tearing up the ghee!

Dude, the burgers at the lodge are to die for fyi. Teton thai was nice too. Crispy duck. Great food for a small town here.

Think the wife and I are headed to JH today if anyone is out.

It is a shame that so many threads gravitate toward the negative, oh well not my problem. On the up side, the Tetons are lined up for a solid snow event over the next 3 days, keep the fatties out! February is playing out nicely.

Hey DJ, you didn't miss me, cause I haven't checked in all season, but I'm headed over to JH on Sunday. I plan on skiing Mon-Thurs this coming week, (Feb 19-22). Looking forward to some potential powder and skiing with some mags.
