Lots of love for the ghee today and no surprise after watching that cam, yum!

I'll be there with my 6 year old Friday, skiing Sat - Tuesday. Would love to rip some laps with mags. Also have a touring setup and would be super excited to get in a day of mellow touring if anybody is willing to take me out. I'll have a vehicle and would compensate fairly with beer or otherwise for the privilege! Pm me if you're interested!

EoB - wasn't that truck up at the top of Beartooth pass a few springs ago when we went up for opening. I'ma say you or I took some pics...

Drove to Big Sky yesterday thru the storm and skied about 6" today, which was pretty nice. Back tomorrow and ready for some village soft serve hopefully.

Staying at Harry's Slopeside condo and dining with Talisman and friends has been very posh.

Indeed the same truck from that trip. The odd thing about the picture I linked was that it’s in the Teepee Lodge in Alta. I gotta chat with the owner about that at some point and see what the backstory is.

Looking forward to some UAN pics now that we finally got a refresh.

Very mixed bag of conditions yesterday, skied wall to wall at the village and there was actually some unfucked snow out there. Moot point now anyway. Early turns tomorrow me thinks.

People have been great about posting obs to the forecast platform, plus it's supposed to snow all week. Roads are slick today- figure out how to ride the Targhee bus from town or 5th street for easy access.

Awesome, thanks! I'm not super picky about snow conditions, but any conditions are obviously important. Looking forward to at least a few days at Targhee. Might call an audible to Snowbasin to visit some friends too if snow is better there.

Had a great time too Djongo, your mountain knowledge kept us on the better snow and away from the inevitable masses. My legs needed to recover from so many edge sets & plain old hard skiing. For sunny and warm, it rocked. Thnx again & looking forward to coming back.

We get first laps all over first thing, maybe some of the days best and smoothest. Very few peeps for about an hour but then incoming junkshow forced me and lindenle out.

Tag up with Kokomas for the midday turns.

Had a great time skiing with L82thegate from the PNdub the past coupla days. Old school soul skier with a 40 year history in Jh.
And a turn smoother than most.

T'was a pleasure Z., ski ya next time.

oh boy - the king was fun today. light crowds and good crews out on the hill. A little soupy by mid-day, but still great and much needed to fill in the thin spots.

Still a lot of untracked through the trees and if you go searching for it.

Glad to be home after a quick visit to the Big Scree.

Got out later than usual so only got first onto sweetwater Ganj.

First tracks for an hour all over the tree lines there, then heard lindenle laughing behind me coming down the traverse.
We bombed Laramie bowl and took a very soft lap out to RS.

Lots of soft, maybe 10-24" varying depth and stiff with some water, wind and tiny flake deposition. Hard to keep the tips up but the old Super7's have the big bend so that was nice.

Looking forward to turning with a few mags these next few eeks. PM me to connect and for digits...

Hey all, made it here last night around 10pm including my 2 bags. Wahooo.... postponed doing arrival stuff and went to village quite early for having just had a 24 hour trip and only 6 hours of sleep..... so skied around jetlagged till early afternoon, but had fun. Crazy how many people I bumped into tramline already. If anybody wants to share some turns, let me know or send me a pm. Or do some touring or the pass at the weekend (have the Monday to Friday pass only). Not sure about avi conditions or conditions in general, but whatever is doable. (I tour quite slow). Also up for some music in the evenings if the weather happens to go dry again.

DJ, I think I just sent a message, but I may not be smart enough for the phone app…. I think Single and I have the same idea. I’m arriving in driggs tonight, looking for advise on the best way to ‘do’ the morning. Hope to meet up!

    HT - I don't see any new pm's.

These last 48 hours dropped a coupla feet on us so it's been a good thing except it can be a bit much quickly. And it's warm so it's gonna either bond via percolation or slide as a heavy as fuck top coat in a lot of places. I'm guessing #2 first.

Forecast is for on and off snow for next 2, then a cloudy break over the weekend. Key is that overall/nightly temps will be dropping. I expect some drying after a coupla <10* nights.

So inbounds tomorrow will hopefully not be a tram line up to Bridger like today. Jackattack said he made third box and showed up about 845. That's damn good really...

Coming from driggs, pencil in some time for the traffic. Rush hour begins when, says the spudrovians?

Parking is free at stilson lot, jct of Hwy 22 and moose wilson road. First light after the pass.
Paid parking only at the village, cheapest in ranch lot/carpool is 4.

In line by 8 should be fine, +/- 15 minutes for any chair/tram.

Strong skiers and short tram line is the way, but literally any zone is skiing well now. Bring avy gear and your brain for sidecountry.
It's good but I fully expect that there are some assassins lurking close by.

I wouldn't step out on the field above zero/space and points west right now for much moniez.

Took a sweet ob lap yesterday with lindenle and his tuffchik brah. Slow the fuck down, speed racer! Had a few Full White Jacket moments. Choice.

Me and Mrs. Axe will be out, arriving late afternoon 2/25, staying in Driggs. Would love to catch some laps with some local Mags. I think I'll try to spend a little time with Singlecross - we have a standing informal maybe sorta date.

Probably going to do a couple days at the Ghee, maybe one at Snow King since it's on Indy (is it worth going??), and Kelley Canyon for a day.

Let me know who'll be able to run around a 50-something without killing him!

From the few times I’ve done the morning drive from Alta you’re in the congo line at 6:30. If it’s clear weather it doesn’t really back up until Wilson/Trail Creek. This morn who knows, seemed heavy at the top at 6:30.

Pass this morning did not disappoint… Best turns of the season for me by a long shot. Skied a conservative line, not ready to test the steeps.

It’s good to see the temps didn’t come up too much at elevation. Pass @ 8428’ peaked at about 30 and 10059’ reached 24. Bring on the cold front to suck some moisture.

Reposting because I'd like to ski some laps with mags. PM me if you're going to be around the Ghee or want to make some laps in the nearby sidecountry/mellow BC. I'll be riding Saturday through Tuesday.

Fun day at the village. Things skied great this morning before turning pretty heavy this afternoon. Up top was still skiing great into the afternoon. Down low was full on spring skiing.

Was a couple of inches wind packed top layer over
a couple of inches of fluff. S / SE.
So all and all a few inches of the most recent snow.

Thanks for the pass report EoB.
With these warm temps the last few days my
skis are feeling a little sticky.
Thinking a visit to the waxroom is in order.

Powder blinders? Or mainlining pow? I'm not sure. Just felt so damn good to get a taste of that 3d shape.

Mag gathering tonight at the waxroom; 6pm launch.

Sunday mag ski day with Singlecross and his special lady friend, visiting from Maine, via Bozeman.

Meet first thing or at 11 at Casper fireplace.
