This Tuesday storm is fizzling for the mountains but 8-12 forecast here on Cape Cod!
Saturday was April vibes. Sunday was refrozen slush and thin cover at Cannon with a solid overcast at about 4k'.

Full-on SL skis with a 13.5M radius. Loved them on Kidderbrook and Free Fall because they were smooth, empty and hard.

Hated them on any trail that had piles of loose granular or people. They actually terrified me.

Text me next time you get out for lunch laps...

    Get it Jersey!

Skied the Loaf Saturday; absolutely mint groomer shredding. That perfect temp where everything was soft but didn't get April-style thick. Magical turns!

hmm. would one measure depth on a steep slope straight down or perpendicular to trail angle?

either way, it's a nice bit of snow and 8 (or 13) inches more than fell in new england.

was eyeing catamount 2 days ago at 9-13" predicted.
today, they announced they would be firing up the guns tonite, as they barely got a dusting.

thus the title of this thread: relevant in november and in february.

Since this stupid storm got drunk and went south and east, anyone have any insight into how the Catskills are skiing without the needed snow? We are skiing with the 6 yo this weekend, so not sure if its worth going all the way back up to K-mart or sugarbush just for the crowded Sat and Sunday of the holiday weekend. But havent been to the cats yet this year so not sure how they are fairing with the current snowfall being what it is. Also, have the Ikon spots been any better crowd wise on the blackout days? I know in SLC at least the past couple years the Pres weekend days have been fairly quiet from the blackout days before getting busy as hell actual Pres day and the week after. What would Jeebus Do?

Catskills , Jesus? I’ve seen plenty of crunchy looking hippie carpenters at Plattekill every time I’ve been, it’s totally iconic as well.
