First one won't blow your doors off but makes a ton of sense from an infrastructure perspective. New lift from Sunrise to between bottom of Vista and top of Bcup.

Next one is further down the road (2027) and is going to be a love/hate kind of thing with people. New Heather chair with top Station above the Twilight entrance...memory is a bit fuzzy on exact top station location.

Also in the plans...Expanding Summer Hiking trails and aerial adventure course, Nordic infrastructure and building, lights for night skiing.
Where will the base of the heathers chair be? Same place or further uphill making more of heathers require using the runout?

Co-worker was up there for an avalanche clinic recently and said the coverage was good. Not sure how reliable.

Bachelor Butte was a bit deeper than I expected today. As they say, better than most.

Coverage good but watch for touchy wind slabs. New snow falling on a crust/facet interface.
Multiple recent observations of shooting cracks and widely propagating + remotely triggered slabs.

If it's in Twighlight bowl. I assume it would be a 2nd chair in the canyon

Wondering where the start of that would go…somewhere above the waterfall/creek at the bottom of AbMag?
Basically serving Twilight thru Half Moon?

    RIP Ho Chi Minh traverse

I support a new chair, pull out the old (current) one. Keep the hordes right there.

Or, is it bottom terminal where Heather is now?
Running to Twilight [basically parallel to SSX but serving lower canyon exclusively and eliminating ho chi min (I noticed now called something else)

If I understand the plan correctly....old chair will come out, base of new chair will be in about the same location as base of old chair, top station will be high enough to give access to Twilight.

The rest isn't fact, just me writing down some thoughts. If you had the new base up canyon from the old one you would increase the risk of it being taken out by an avalanche. I'd think the top of the new chair should be high enough to allow access to Discovery allowing you to ski back to the base if you wanted.

It's Heather like the plant, no s.

People exiting Stadium will still use it. Hordes are going to horde. I imagine with the new chair, the terrain from Twilight to Lift line will see more use than ever. Maybe PR use will decrease?

Unless Meadows can expand the skiable terrain, it will be the same old same old.
Today was acceptable... that 4 incher bonded and covered up the icy cruds real good. First runs down moon and half moon were tities. I'm guessing the upper Heather may pop tomorrow.

They weren't consulted first. The number of passes sold and multi year validity of the pass were issues.

    Mango!
It’s been a good week at Mt Brokenchair - unless you want to ride NWX.
    Or if you want ketchup
