Was at Plattekill on Sunday….definitely chose the wrong day/weekend. We were at the bar by 11:30….warm weather last week really took its toll by Sunday/ plus it all froze up on Sunday/colder/clouds/no sun glaciered anything not groomed. Not a lot open.
Brought a friend who had never been and despite conditions, he was impressed/he finally saw what we say/love about the continuous fall lines..….and how it could ski when there is actually snow/woods in play…
He/we will be back in a few weeks. It’s 2 hours door to door for us down here in NEPA.

Can confirm all of this. I think if it had warmed up a little it would have been better. I was back up for a mountain rental today and it was all right. The way it looks now they won’t get enough to do a powder daze but Friday will probably be pretty good. Originally Posted by BC.

^ I skied there virtually every day of the 1978/79 ski season.
Was an inmate at the correctional institute...and was on the ski team.
No chairlift back then, just the t-bar.
