It's that special krusty pow NY Maple Syrup is better With all the tree species we're losing around the northeast you might not have to deal with the unruly hordes for too much longer

My wife just signed up for a booth at the 2 day craft festival a few minutes from E'ville the last weekend of April. We'll be staying in E'ville. Come check out her stuff, the fest is in Franklinville, and her biz is Looming Madness. Fighting words bub. The best and only true maple syrup comes from VT. Specifically Franklin County.

Nope, not bad people by a long shot. The Gobbler, on the other hand, by objective measures including law enforcement response, was not.

No Platty for me. I tried to rally my son but he didn’t want to get out of bed. Instead, I got a good ride in at Sterling Forest… in shorts and a short sleeve jersey!

Thinking of storm chasing to Hunter tomorrow. Unless Platty was to do a Powder Daize?!?!?

Was at Plattekill on Sunday….definitely chose the wrong day/weekend. We were at the bar by 11:30….warm weather last week really took its toll by Sunday/ plus it all froze up on Sunday/colder/clouds/no sun glaciered anything not groomed. Not a lot open.

Brought a friend who had never been and despite conditions, he was impressed/he finally saw what we say/love about the continuous fall lines..….and how it could ski when there is actually snow/woods in play…

He/we will be back in a few weeks. It’s 2 hours door to door for us down here in NEPA.

    .
Can confirm all of this. I think if it had warmed up a little it would have been better. I was back up for a mountain rental today and it was all right. The way it looks now they won’t get enough to do a powder daze but Friday will probably be pretty good.

nice. i thought about riding sunday but it was cooler/cloudier than expected.
can't ski til weds. hoping storm doesn't track too far south.
catamount looks decent still but snow totals are sinking!

EDIT. nothing of consequence to reach new england.
    watching mountain creek...south indeed!

^ I skied there virtually every day of the 1978/79 ski season.

Was an inmate at the correctional institute...and was on the ski team.

No chairlift back then, just the t-bar.
