There’s some snow falling above 2,200, might not be so bad. Equally, might not be possible to run a competition at all. *shrug*

Anyone here very familiar with Pitztal Gletscher?
Only worth hitting when there is fresh snow? Or would it still be nice right now on sunny days even though the snow isn't great? We have touring gear, and full glacier equipment with us of that makes a difference on what we could ski there.

Is one option. Highest peak of Tyrol.
    No avalanche terrain.

    ————————————————
Today was very slidy in Tirol. So might want to wait one more day until things settle. Did not expect 4 - 5 incidents today but yeah temperature Jo-Jo.
But things will chill out after tomorrow.

This is a free ride option. With nice steeper terrain. See the picture all to the lookers right is variants.
It is a easy 250vert up and the nice long down to the valley.

Thanks! Had been considering it for tomorrow to avoid some of the weekend crowds at bigger resorts, but maybe best to leave for a day or two.

    Indeed, Barry demands a refund.
    Norway looks tasty though!

Barry, Basel, Brenda and James the gentleman were out and about in L4V this weekend. They were speaking just loud enough to be heard by all, skiing just bad enough to be seen and doing their very best to cut off my three year old daughter in every lift line. This is all after their never ending desire to create a solid wall of ski bags in Geneva Airport directly after exiting customs. Barry is a special breed…

Well the date for possible change has been bumped back to Feb 8th to 10th.

    Goat balls period prolonged....

Edit: and don't hate The BAZ , hate Eaton! [emoji6]
Im curious about James the Gentleman though. His Name sounds very distinguished. Has he been to a Safari lodge in the former colonies?

Just got back from a week in Zermatt. Beautiful place. Glad we had one small refresh of 3" on Tuesday. Disappointed in how much of the mountain was closed for wind for most of the week. Cervinia only opened on the day I left despite it being bluebird in town and in the Sunnegga area. At any rate, lovely place and even though I'm now gone, praying it gets more snow soon as it was beginning to look somewhat sparse when I departed!

James the gentleman is indeed a distinguished man. Truth be told, he is a graduate of Eaton and while he is not the one who cut off my daugter last weekend, he was out and about in L4V since Wednesday. I am also undoubtedly sure his great Grandfather commissioned the lodge in question.

Friday in the south. North gets föhn and then colder sunday with snow here and there....but possibly pretty massive dump in the south fr - sun

    James Edit:
Splendid. Im sure his great granfather was a good sport when he dealt with the local tribesmen. James sure enjoys coming back when they call him Mbututekaka "the great white friend". He has on open ear, and bed, for the female Service personell.

lots of big terrain that needs stable conditions / is usually sketchy when the snow is great. many options to ski down the sides where the lifts are not after a short hike. some are more obvious than others, start with the obvious ones. glacier gear advisable for wildspitze and also for anything that requires skiing out taschachferner.

There is this Ullr thread I've contemplated posting in. Then I decide I dont want to loose my balls in my sleep if she ever finds out.

That would be the Grand, Grand, Grand, Grand Father. So prolonged goat balls for another week just to make sure that anything without a layer of surface hoar gets fully baked over so we have a spicy cycle to look forward to…the Baz loves a spicy cycle ever since he did a week at Mike Wiegele’s and bought the jacket back in 2002, which he still wears and won’t stop talking about. James the Gent is the more subtle type and dreams of doing a private bird out of CPG. He would not buy the jacket because that USD600 is better left at the Great Alaskan Bush Company just prior to departing Anchorage.
