Smoked a rock right underfoot at Alta yesterday on the J118. Thought I was in for it when I got back to the car.... Couldn't even tell which ski I hit. Kudos to On3p and a bombproof ski.

I sent an email to HQ the other day but I'm still unclear on what the update entails. I may be looking at replacing my beloved 189 Assym's from 2018, the cornerstone of my quiver. I specifically reach for them as a relief pitcher for my Protest as I feel anything bigger than 116 starts to beat on you as things get chopped up on deep days.

I've been turned off by the latest direction BG that have been losing their PNW prowess in the name of versatility and broader appeal. Eying dims and mount point in the custom section, new stats don't seem to have really changed? Looks like a slightly deeper rocker line? Without giving away too many details, are we generally headed for a return to the old chargey goat or just a tweak of the most recent model? The copy seems pretty vague.

How many of us would have to band together to get a special press going? Like a limited run of 2014's or 15's? Moment seems to be able to handle limited-release throwbacks...

    ON3P SKIS Discussion

Rounded out the quiver with some Jeffrey 102 LTD, and got a Wren 108ti back in the stable. Stoked.

SOOO, frigged up again and managed to snap another set of Asym BGs. I’ve got a right ski from a 2019 and 2017 ASYM Billy Goat at 189cm, if anyone is looking for a single ski.

I’m also looking for a left in either of these skis if someone has randomly broke one.

I’m actually so impressed with myself for managing to snap two different sets of billy goats lol. Both user error [emoji28]

Thanks for the comparisons between the BG110s and various other widths. I dragged them up for a storm tour today with anything from 8in to 20+ and agree the 110s really come alive in anything less than 12in. Still fun when deeper, but definitely make you work a little harder to stay nimble.

I'm not looking to charge super hard anymore so I think I will look at getting a more suitable touring ski (maybe WD108 or BG108) for the next trip down the rabbit hole.

Anyone care to weigh in on the difference between the Caylors and the Jeffery 122? Had a Caylor prototype and liked them. Love the Jeffery 110 and 114.

Yes I think they were made 2015 and 2016. Maybe they are all gone at this point.

If you've loved other Jeffreys I suspect you'd love the 122 as well. I've got a pair and while they only come out on rare occasions, when it's truly bottomless they're amazing, and they hold their own well enough on groomers to not die getting back to the lift.

Man, nothing beats C&Ds and pre-asym 2017 BGs for an inbounds pow day - freaking magical skis.

The 2017s retain the charginess of the asyms, but the lack of asym out back makes it possible to lean into the tails a bit more to spray and not have them wash out -> which = perfection. The only thing that I think could be improved with my current pair for soft snow prowess is a textured top sheet - so just for looks, not really functional. During my first run on them after switching from the C&Ds I kinda wondered if I had commited a terrible crime against myself by selling my asyms to SF, but from run two and on in (after I moved my weight slightly forward) the regrets evaporate. So freaking good skis. And yeah, conditions were dryish soft snow up top to increasingly tracked out and denser snow. So prime BG conditions.

Not to go too over the top in my RES ski praise here, but 184 C&Ds (fat BG rocker line version) are just so loose, yet retain enough weight to have very good suspension when you drive them a bit in bumped out snow. They obviously do not cut through everything hatefucking the mountain like BGs, but they can still rally imho. Can't wait for the next dump to try them back to back with 189s.

Now I just need to get me some BG118tours...

184s= 2019 (so first year with the BG rocker lines, beaked demon graphic)
189s= 2021 (so current layup, slightly flatter tail rocker than the 184s, MAGA graphic)

Found a pair of very mint Wren 98s in 184cm and picked them up last night. Only bummer is the attached bindings are not GW compatible, so I got to re-drill.

Excited to have a directional daily driver. Flexed them by hand and they don't feel overwhelmingly stiff like some TI skis I've flexed in shops.

I needed some replacements for my busted 186 BG's. Unfortunately on3p is so far off the back with this year's BG (no reviews, no beta for/from the forums, not available for purchase) that I just went and picked up some m-free 118’s... : I was hoping the new 186 BGs would fit the bill, but the changes described on their website didn't sound promising, and they never responded to my email inquiry...

Oh well, saved a pile of money picking up the used dynastars
