I’m also looking for a left in either of these skis if someone has randomly broke one.

I’m actually so impressed with myself for managing to snap two different sets of billy goats lol. Both user error [emoji28]

I know I sound like a broken record by now (on these as well), but man - the latest gen C&Ds are sooooo good - I freaking love them. I had an absolute blast today on my 189s for the few runs we could do in good snow before it started raining.

Anyone interested in trading their wider 186cm Jeffrey/Kartels for the 108/110 widths? I have a pair of Kartel 108s in great shape and some very minty Jeffrey 110s, both in 186cm.

Heal up quick tuco, hopefully we get some stuff to cover up those rocks and bushes on the hill ASAP too, things getting bony here in the state of ON3P.

Heads up for anyone interested, I’ll be selling my 177 gen1 WD108s (wolf with 3 spears topsheet) flat with a single mount for Pivots at 295mm or so. Gotta scrape my summer wax and wipe the dust off to get pics and conditions assessments and a starting asking price but they are in pretty good shape and located in Eugene. For reference, these are beefy enough that they ski harder/more aggressively than my 181 WD110s, though quicker to come around due to much shorter effective edge. I was holding onto these in case of use cases where the shorter skis would have been more ideal but I think I’ll make quiver space for some J118s and move these back into the ether. PM if interested.

Widow makers are no joke. I have no doubt my friend would be dead if she had been standing 1 foot to the right while setting up camp once. Always best to look up when you can [emoji849]

I think I am going to get along very well with the Wren 98s.

Had to mount ~1.5cm ahead because of hole conflicts but can still put plenty of pressure on the boots and shovels of the ski. Doesn’t feel like I am fighting the geometry of the ski at all.

Didn’t spend too long on them but they are clearly capable of being pushed hard and they feel like I have freaking tanks strapped to my feet (relative to my floppy Mango 100s). Lots of tail rocker in the back keeps these maneuverable, surprisingly so. So pumped to rip some steep shit in softer conditions on these. Sad and confused as to why this ski is getting discontinued.

Because regardless of the fact that you like it, it's not a seller.

Not surprised that most people don't want rocket ships for skis.

I wonder if a Woodsman 100 in a custom stiff layup would get close? I have not ridden the Woodsman, but from what it sounds like it is an easier-going Wren.

    I’ve had a few Woodsmen: OG108, 2nd gen 102, 3rd gen 110… now a custom 108. This year I also added a Wren 102ti.

I think we could also call the newer Woodsman “a looser Wren”

Marko have you had any days on your new 108s? Curious how they compare to the 110s or earlier Woods...

Yes, but only 4 part days. Mine were ordered soft, so 10% softer than stock…181’s. All priors were 182.

My new 108’s are less ski than the 110’s I had, which suits me as I don’t ski very fast. They also seem more nimble, which may be the tighter sidecut. That 110 seemed a chargier ski to me.

Compared to my gen2 102’s, the new 108 is a bit more ski, similarly stable, better edge grip and more float.

My OG 108’s have been gone awhile now, but recollection is that they were more stiff in the tail than these newer skis.

I’m no expert…advanced on a good day, strong intermediate most days.

So I take it the new WD 108 is a good amount less ski than the OG

For anyone seeking more ski - I had a fantastic resort outing yesterday on Wren 114’s. That ski has beef and edge hold for skied through chop. Begs to be driven faster and harder. Shame it’s been discontinued, what a fantastically fun ski.
