Not a quote, but early this season I saw a guy that didn't quite make it through the RFID gate and ended up standing there straddling the turnstile as several groups continued to pass by in the other gates and load the chair

Where you from in Central Wisconsin. Most don't realize how passive-aggressive Wisconsinites are, kill 'em with "niceness".

If you want to see how passive aggressive cheesers are, drive on any road.

Powder panic and a big line. Lift op managing the maze kept trying to tell this single he was 7 th person on a 6 person chair but he just ignored her. She finally had to run up and pull him out of the group in the nick of time. The asshole wound up riding up alone, to the displeasure of the multitude.

Not a quote but first time I've ever seen an emotional support dog on the slopes bundled up like a baby. Also, two separate groups that day complaining about lack of grooming since 12-inches overnight created some bumps. DV gaper watching is the unmatched.

"Why hasn't Apple built in Avalanche Beacon Functionality into the iPhone?" - Overheard in the parking lot of Alpine Meadows yesterday . After some more thought they might be on to something though...

I think that's sketchy even with a baby, because no matter how careful you are, there's always the chance some jackass will hit you. Forcing a dog into that get up is ASPCA territory

Well, you can already find your airpods via proximity - I do it all the time at my house when they fall under the bed or in the couch or something. So, they're sorta kinda already there.

Just swap airpods with your buddy in the backcountry?

Am I the only one whose iphone already wants to die before the end of the day?
I would have to use an extension battery for it to be my avalanche beacon also.

You're not the only one. Both my buddies yesterday were having issues in the cold with their iPhones. One had a charging brik with him and the other said he had to keep it right next to his chest to keep it warm so it wouldn't immediately die.

I was looking at a Washington travel forum yesterday and someone from Florida asked if they visited Mt Rainier in February whether they'd see snow.

They're just ahead of their time. It'll be a valid question in 30 years.

I keep my phone in a soft beer koozie in my pocket and found that it helps a lot. Battery stays pretty warm and doesn't lose charge.

Zero line today. Lifty is telling everyone that the base to base gondola is closed due to wind. Everyone. Graybeard decides he has to ride with me even though, like I said, no line. First words out of his mouth are "why is the gondola closed?".. IF YOU DIDN'T HAVE YOUR SPEAKERS PLAYING SO LOUD YOU WOULD HAVE HEARD THE LIFTY SAY IT'S TOO WINDY. And then proceeded to swing his skis the rest of the ride and change positions violently from time to time. I got revenge with an announced lowering of the bar. Fortunately for him he had a helmet on. And I don't mind early 70's rock--Johnny Winters I think, but not through speakers tinnier than the transistor radio I listened to in bed in junior high.

    You’re on to something!

I helped a guy find a dropped phone using his Bluetooth Chips in his brain bucket.

Probably listening to Ernie Harwell calling a game, I’m betting.

I like to ride with people even when it's not crowded because I get bored and liked to chat.

I also swing my skis (try not to hit anyone elses skis!) because my feet are falling asleep and getting cold.

I do not play loud music.
