I agree, but I would bet good money this kid has not skated more than 5x in his life.

Oh he's a little kid? I love it when little kids talk big about themselves to each other - always funny!

Where was the pic? I'll bet it was one of the bike park boys. I feel like the gaper this year, I'm heading up 2moro for my first day.....by far the latest in 25 years to make first turns. At least we finally have ice in town so I can go skate and play hockey.

Kid compared to me…he was a junior in college. Still funny though.

My kid was skiing in CO recently and was saying it was icy, something I never heard him say before, so it must have been,

Single line is for gapers. Go to the regular line and start filtering until you hit a full row.

Do it right--push your way forward, duck under ropes between lanes--preferrably pulling their stakes out of the snow so the lines fall down, walk over people's skis, whatever it takes.

So the other day at roughly 3:30 pm I was cruising groomers since there wasn't much else to do and my legs were shot from skiing a bunch - came up to the top of a steeper blue to see a dude with a day pass standing at the top of a steeper shot, looking down. i slowed down passing him and then saw the carnage beneath him; two children and an adult female, all yardselled roughly equidistant from one another, all missing poles and skis.

First responder mode kicks in and I ski down, collecting remnants of the carnage as I go. Grab skis, ski to the first child (an ~8 year old girl) who is clearly shaken but okay, give her her skis and head down to the next kid (a ~5 year boy) who is absolutely wailing at the top of his lungs and holding on to his leg - I slow down, put his skis next to him, and grab my phone & pass and start calling ski patrol, the whole time I am trying to comfort him and assure him that things are going to be okay, and finally, the guy from the top of the run joins me and gets all huffy and defensive as I try to help his kid who is in SERIOUS distress "Hey man, my kid's fine, Johnny, you're fine, and listen man, you can keep skiing, the situation is under control". At this point, the woman towards the bottom of the run has already post holed up 75' or so, and now the Dad decides to intervene?? What on god's green earth?

Not really a gaper quote but who the fuck WATCHES their family all collectively eat shit from the top and does absolutely nothing about it?

My fucking god. Go back to Ohio.

Late bloomer at 17. But I skated. Friends said hockey stop left. Stop right. Ditched me and said you got this. I did eventually. No pizza needed.

Sounds like my FIL. He never wanted his children to expect the world to be nice to them.

I never skied behind my kids, so they learned early on it was up to them to get their shit together if they had a yardsale. Only way I was hiking back uphill was if they were hurt, which fortunately never happened.

Had a guy bash into me trying to get past me in the lift line today. No sorry, didn’t look back, nothing. He was trying to catch up to his kid so I didn’t worry about that other than the speed and rudeness it was executed with.

To retaliate I skied up onto the tails of his skis. When he stumbled trying to get going I said, “oh sorry, didn’t see you there” [emoji23]

Was this at Bogus? Had some guy earlier this season whining to my friend about getting scratches on his shitty board from my buddies skis hitting and touching his board in the lift line up.

Where you from in Central Wisconsin. Most don't realize how passive-aggressive Wisconsinites are, kill 'em with "niceness".
