Even so, MNIAW - you've been doing really nice work as well, we're all proud of you - people are watching and you're just doing great things.
Just wanted to take the opportunity to let you know.

The non FRS jacket should have been a big tipoff. Either way, well done to everyone who has been getting out.

^^score! vt-free. i woke up wee hours after my post-ski crash, fantasized about getting up that way for the monday opening of the sunnyside double...started boiling water for coffee, soon opted to go back to bed as my quads were completely cooked, and i needed more sleep. woke up again at just shy of the desired 9am first chair...then slept some more.

    Heaven and Hell bob

Currently 38º and raining on top of 9" of new snow, the driveway shoveling, half done, struggle is real.
    Looks like a net gain

Slight net gain at Base o' Magic; we got about 6" of medium density snow through midnight; then it started raining and didn't let up until about 7:30am.

But I am getting sick of not being able to snow blow the driveway because there is so much water in the snow pack - completely clogs the works after moving 8 inches forward.

I did blow most of it before the rains came but had to move the goop that came off the solar panels. Solid 90 minutes of shoveling. I'm too old for this shit.

Started raining before dawn even at higher elevations in the Mount Washington Valley area. Guessing it snowed 8-14’’ at the resorts before it turned.

Yes, I’m uphill ready but mountain ops has stated that access is closed. They don’t want kooks like me out there wandering around and I get that. I’m still determining the calculus of poaching this afternoon for wet schmoo vs. letting it drain and dry for tomorrow.

Got four runs in this morning at the River. Things weren't quite as good as I was hoping at 6 am, but far better than I expected at 8 am. Fat skis for the win indeed, I felt bad for the folks waiting next to me for the chair to open with a more traditional East Coast choice.

I decided to go for a walk instead of sit in the camper all day.

Then clipped in to enjoy… zipper crust! No schmoo unfortunately… getting cold here. New to me BMT 94’s (thanks cat!) did the job and got me back to the camper for the night…

We’ll see what tomorrow brings, good base builder and all that. Day 1 didn’t hit the jackpot with my gamble but it was better than furious masterbation. Maybe.
