Schweitzer was about 3-4” of soft snow over 1-2’ of punchy wind affected snow. All aspects except for super sheltered low angle areas were like this. Felt undergunned on 108s, perfect snow for an R/R ski.

Coverage is improving but still very thin even at mid-mountain.

Pretty decent at Mission given the hurricane force winds. Some wind fucked snow but some creamy goodness. Upper mountain is good to go off piste. Next storm should have lower down areas ready. Yesterday was the day to be here, as good as storm skiing gets.

So snow wasn’t that good? I had a great day on Sunday but that’s the only pow day I got this season.

My first run was triple to Headwall, vertigo for part of the upper but Headwall was untracked and soft. It was nice but got hammered before I got back there later. The rest of my runs were mostly flat and skied out. We need more areas open.

I would say it was a pretty typical Schweitzer new snow with wind day… not bad but sorta upside down and dense. Most of the sheltered areas/aspects that I would ski in that scenario to avoid the wind are either closed or still thin with stumps/brush/tiny trees poking.

Also the fog was pretty bad for the most part.

Saw a mag on ARGs, seemed like the ticket.

They looked a lot like the R99, but wider. Definitely said heritage labs. Should have said hello to the guy.

Hello everyone, born in Spokane in 1990, graduated in 2008. Came back in 2017 and been living it up here in Spokane ever since. Let's hope this cold moving in brings some of the white fluffy stuff.

Any of the mags headed to Silver or Lookout tomorrow? Finally got a chance to ski and not sure where to land.

Damn dude, you missed it today. All time. Not skiing tomorrow as they are expecting a -45 wind chill. Wax accordingly!

Meh, I've skiied in colder, but no I didn't know -11 was forecast. That's kinda a damper, but I haven't got to ski yet this season so I'll probably go anyway. Law school fucking sucks for skiing.

Schweitzer was pretty awesome today. Either I've gotten a lot shorter in my 'golden' years or in some spots, there was a lot more than the 6" of new they advertised. I was getting face shots in that 6" that I wasn't expecting. It was a great day!

If it was dental school I'd get issued a Yeti bike and a pair of DPS upon graduation though.

Still nursing myself and probably not going until next week. I wouldn’t want to ride 30 minutes gondola in this temp. Go to lookout if that guy is serious about going.

I dug out the sea otter hat, I'll be in a fur hat with a red freeride systems jacket over a puffy, probably on dynastars if anybody else is braving the cold.
