Tigards in hand. Seem fine. I'll prob ski the liner for a while, my pro tours are shorter.

W the overlap, 4 buckles, me adding a large alpine Velcro strap, should be all I need for an inbounds boot.

fooled around w these today, the intuition pro tour is a markedly better liner, and seems to fit fine. slightly less tall than stock, but whatev.

put the boot on quickly, seems noticeably more stiff than the hoji's. all in all, should be a performance upgrade for sure.

Just got my pair. They look great and are shockingly light.

Amazingly high instep for us folks that struggle with this . The instep is also well placed. Decently wide forefoot. This liner is THICK. I imagine it will pack out considerably.

I am having a bit of heel slip so trying to decide if I want to go down a full size and then do more boot work or stick with my regular and look at some heel specific options.

Couple groomer laps for the maiden voyage of the Tigard yesterday. Been on the hoji free 130 as my lift skiing boot. The Tigard is way more substantial. Immediately noticable.

Couple more mornings on semi uninspired groomers. The Tigard rocks. Way better than hoji.

Took the skis out for a walk for the first day this year, as the Rockies have no snow right now.
The boot goes up well. Heel pocket feels big, may need to take up some slop with a wedge.
Holy stiff on the way down.

Three days in mine. Fit seems really subjective, I have had buddies who can slide right into my alpine boots (atomic hawx 130) no problem practically tear them off once they get them on ( just like I did with their Hoji's) and some who ski in boots I could never get in like them. I'm 11.5 street shoe, avg width, pronate like crazy, have a morton's toe, large sixth toe and multiple ankle spurs, so wide and flat up front with a pretty narrow heel and thin calf in general. Generally I jam into a 27.5 x 98-99mm and spend quite a bit of time punching for toe length, the assorted spurs and throw in intuition wraps. Ski wise I am out the gates at Jackson most days, more hike than skin but do some touring as well.

Day one: throw in formed intuitions from my Hawx, length and sixth toe are good, significant pressure/pain from my lower leg just above the ankle. The boot was really stiff with the Wrap liner...I have been skiing Girlamid for about 7 years now and like the way it skis...no exception here. Way stiffer than any cross over boot that I have been in and I have tried every one on looking for the holy grail one boot quiver. That liner is pretty thick above the ankle the way it's molded contributing to my pain I suspect.

Day two: heat fit a Hawx liner and throw that in the mix. that liner is a bit too low in volume in general to fill the shell but still pretty decent. Still having lower leg pain from one leg where I took a puck years back.... it's calcified and larger above the ankle there.

Day three: heat fit shells with the Hawx liner and add a boot board under the liner..almost there but the liner is just not quite filling the shell...bottoming out the cuff buckles. Leg pain has disappeared with the heat fit.

Day four: heat fit the stock liner which is puffier than a new couch pillow. Add the boot board under the liner after fitting. The fit is good all around without any punching...feels luxurious compared to my normal setup with the Intuition liner. I don't think this will last long term as I like a really tight performance fit and any packing will likely be too much but today I skied with zero pain and pushed it hard.

Performance on current rock hard Jackson bumps and ice rink groomers is really impressive...by far the best of the hybrids that I have skied. At this point I'm sure I have a winner and with a fresh intuition wrap I can easily see them as a do it all inbound/backcountry setup. See ya Alpine boots I think, one and done.

I like em, am thrilled with the performance level and love the Hoji lock setup.

Agreed, very very stiff. I am a 10.5 street shoe, but also in a 27.5 as I have a very high instep and above avg width.

Struggling like you with the liner for ankle retention. There is a lot of space at the front ankle that it is very hard to use anything but the stock as nothing is thick enough to fill the space. You end up cranking down the bottom two buckles which then introduces new problems. Tried a Intuition Pro Tour (without molding) and wasn't convinced it was going to change anything, but may reconsider it.

I am also dealing with some pain at the back of the calf where it sits on the shell. Debating some cutting with my boot fitter, but not sure I want to go that route yet.

Intuition wraps in place. I have not jumped back and forth from my alpine boots but feel pretty confident saying the flex will be close. Of the opinion that they ski really well, happy with the final product for sure.

I just broke my Cochise 130. I hit a rock and flexed the boot until the rear cuff exploded. Tigard gonna be a good replacement? I
Since I can’t buy two pairs, I gotta have a 50-50 boot. I will always choose suffer going up over resort performance

Have a 26.5 Tigard 130 in the gear room that I skied maybe 5 days before deciding it wasn't the fit I wanted. Will get a FS post up soon. PM if interested, would let go for 500 shipped.

    edit: gone

Bumping this up cause I am desperate and need to get a new boot in the next couple days. I'll take any advice on this boot compared to my Cochise or any other boot. The boot will see far more resort days than touring. I just want to make sure it is at least as resort capable as the Cochise. I also get paid the be in the boots on occasion which entails bushwacking, going uphill, sideways and whatever, so being a lighter boot is a plus

Theyre probably is as good as the cochise, but the fit is weird and you should try it on

Good to know. I have had em on my feet. They’d probably need a stretch, though.

If you have big ass feet they are your boot. If you have narrow small chicken legs and feet they are bathtubs.

Turns out Technica is going to send me a new pair of Cochises to replace my out of warranty pair. Maybe they need my old pair for R&D since their failure is pretty impressive. I am still very Tigard or Radical Pro curious.

I also just sent in a pair of Cochise for warranty (although no word yet on whether they’ll accept them) and decided to pick up a true alpine boot for the majority of my days where I don’t need to be able to tour. Hoping for a replacement Cochise for travel + sidecountry days that I can keep wear down on and hopefully extend their life.

Went with the Mach1 because I found the Tecnica BSLs truly do match and don’t need to adjust bindings if switching between boots.

I’d really like to have an alpine pair and a touring pair but it is a tough sell at the house. Lol.
