I feel like we need a (reliable) historian ‘round here. Doesn’t it always suck this time of year? Tuesday @ Burke.

Mostly sukedge and hardpan it is true, is not outside the scope of things we do. Sliding into the holiday week by the hair on our chinny chin chin was not.

First time I've made turns before the 1st in a decade. Not wanting to get mangled on the wrod before the season gets a head of speed.
It was too soft to pass up.

Trails are once again white at Magic. No accum at mi casa but that doesn't matter.

I'm thinking the Sherb is definitely in now.

Also, Black Hole is listed as being at Sugarloaf, which it is not. It’s at Sunday River.

It’s at Smugglers Notch and it is a TRIPLE Black Diamond. Yes, I’ve skied it.

Conditions were fast and firm but had fun at Owl’s Head today. Been wanting to go there forever. Place looks like it’d be super fun on a good day.

There’s only one Black Hole that matters.

I haven't been able to find the Challenge run at the bush despite years of spinning the wheel. Of course Outer Limits is steep and fun though not the gnarliest, Killington is "The Beast of the East" but my vote in fast and firm conditions goes to Lower Ovation which when flat groomed is true no fall steep.

Gnarliest run at Killington is Snowshed on a busy weekend.

vegetable soupe at mont grand fonds could have stood for some more oomph behind it. but plenty of good veges.

nice onion soupe at le massif. shockingly not ultra hot (as onion soupes tend to be), but the cheese was laid on and melted on demand.

It could have been much worse. I’m always amazed how many newbies show up on days like today. Hopefully it’s cold enough to do some resurfacing tonight.
