Remind me again why you guys have Amari Cooper on your team?

Oh yeah, now I remember: Jerry Jones.

The Cleveland Browns traded all those picks and gave a fully guaranteed $230 million contract to a sexual predator just to have 38-year-old Joe Flacco come off his couch and be the best QB the team has seen in 25 years

Two years ago the Vegas odds on this scenario was 3:1. Because, you know, Browns.

Scary good. Huh. Well, I’m terrified so maybe that checks out. The only injury this time was the soon-to-be pro bowl kicker who has won 3 games or so for them this year, so that’s an improvement over recent weeks.

NYT has them as a >99% chance to make the playoffs. From my 89 year old aunt when she was told that stat yesterday:

    “We’ll see.”

Ladies and Gentlemen, the Cleveland Browns.

The fact that you are all still experiencing the existential dread of success this late in the season truly is a Christmas miracle

I really need to stop googling this fucking football team for news. Dorian Thompson Robinson just went on IR. Both the kicker and punter are hurt and they've signed replacements in case they can't play Thursday, which looks quite likely.

What the actual fuck is going on? This is edging toward the unbelievable, even for the Browns.

Seriously, following along from my phone on Sunday I was wondering why they kept going for 2 on each score. Oh, because you lost the most reliable kicker you’ve had since Awesome Phil Dawson. Oh and lost the punter too who replaced Hopkins. Neat.

DTR to the IR today was just unbelievable. How do they even have any more players to lose to injury? Someone bubble wrap Flacco, N’joku, Amari and Myles before anything bad happens to them.

Luckily Njoku only hurt his face, which he doesn’t need for football

Somewhere EWG posted an excellent recap of the all-time great collapses for the Browns, and as we head into a potential playoff-clinching game tonight, on national TV, at home, of course this is the first thing that comes up on my feed today:

"The last time these two teams met was on September 18, 2022, when the Browns collapsed to the Jets 31-30. It was an all-time collapse, as the Browns allowed then-Jets QB Joe Flacco to score 14 points within 1:30 at the end of the game, stunning Cleveland in one of the worst collapses of all time."

Joe Flacco revenge game? I hope so.

The only way one can truly spiritually grow is to kill your former self.

Who had Aaron Rodgers congratulating Joe Flacco in Cleveland on a playoff appearance on their bingo card this year?

I am happy for Browns fans. I hope they get to represent the AFC in the SB. It’s overdue.
