Nice chatting you with too. Fully agree on the conditions, was surprised to be skiing some dust/loose snow over soft snow underneath by the end of the day.

Platty definitely delivered, with full on coverage it would be off the chain.

That looks substantially better than any natural snow trail in these parts.

Sunday River is skiing pretty darn well in places, but the warm temps and liquid snow aren't being helpful to coverage. Hopefully the pattern changes soon and they can get the snowmaking back online.

Marissa doesn't offer much hope...... Just enough to cover the rocks, dirt and fresh ice flows, maybe the groomers will be good by Tuesday.
Glad that I am working at least through next weekend

There’s so little snow/ice below 1,000’, that once things drain and freeze hard, there could be a solid window for some decent trail and gravel riding. In Central VT. In January. WTF.

    disagree/agree

title is an acknowledgement of our lowered expections for significant early season snow in the east.
blame the damaged climate system for our inability to even reach that low bar.

our mammoth brethren didn't even start a new thread and are in their own poor weather boat. where's the jinx there?

we used to just get this shite weather for a week in late december.
let's hope january is not december 2.0

fwiw we could start a new thread:
EC ROLL CALL : OUR WEATHER IS BEYOND FUCKED
and see if that clever use of reverse psychology sets things straight

and please, no burning of skis!
