Today's model run looks 100% better. Fingers crossed that it holds.

It should - I’m heading to the Caribbean on the 28th. Incoming snow while gone is assured. Never fails! You’re welcome!![emoji6]

Might not have a ton of snow but I was absolutely stoked to get in some lone tree laps in. Watched a little grom rip it up, mega stoked to see small senders get after it

Now we just need more snow.
Crazy picture...thank you for keeping the stoke going during dry times

I've never been to Snowbasin but that line looks steep and committing AF! Is it comparable to any slope @ Alta?

I couldn't imagine stopping in the middle of that line though.

I had to rescue skis from crashed skiers two of the three times I skied it. The third time, thankfully, I was able to ski top to bottom without needing to help an ikon pass holder. Bummed I couldn't get a clean run when the snow was at its best.

Like all coolies, it looks more steep from far away. Both skiers left and skiers right are about the same pitch, with worse snow on the entrance to skiers right. I'm terrible at estimating slope angle (a good reason to measure in the backcountry) but I reckon the choke of both of those was somewhere 42-44°.

Today is dust on crust, but SFB helped me mount up these new sticks last night and I am super stoked to be ripping around on them

sleeper great day today especially taking into account expectations of a holiday weekend and pessimistic forecast. parking reservations, highway mess, and wind kept the mountain in great shape, 3 hour sucker hole was pretty nice too

Great afternoon! Missed the meet up note. Jake’s around 3:15 when the sun came out, was on [emoji91]!!! Had many soft turns all over- Greeley, Catherine’s and West Buff…. Very nice early Christmas present!!

In my favorite watering hole at present…

I went by just as that guy was getting started, baffling. There were no less than 3 other cars stopped/stuck there, and a UPS truck behind me without chains on. I didn't see what happened but I'd be shocked if he made it. Idiots.

Pretty great day for 4 inches. Just enough density to the snow, no lines, no drama.

Saw the UPS truck, with chains on, coming down around noon. All uphill issues resolved by then. Fingers crossed for the down As it is still snowing though seems to be mainly above 8k’…??

Hey good to ski with you today, we’ll find better snow tomorrow. My expectations were so low that I actually thought it was pretty good, and it was my first day, so I was pretty stoked.

I’d say you’re right on the steepness at the crux of Lone Tree. From top to bottom, I’ll bet it averages mid to upper 30’s depending on the year.

I’ve been telling my wife for years that 4 inches is plenty to have a great time with.

Great to have soft snow again, and the lack of lift lines was icing on the cake.

    ^^ Heh heh.

Good to get out for my first day this season, been too goddamn busy earlier. And yeah, not a bad day at the ‘Tude, just enough new to soften things up a bit.

Just getting my weakling early season legs under me. Hopefully more soon.

The mini van putting them on for the drive down just down from the upper bypass turn off this afternoon was humorous as well. Wet pavement and the dude is pulled over putting them on.

Snowbird was pretty empty today, straight shot onto the tram, no maze. Bit milky at times but the four inches was skiing well.

Great day after the rime low vis went away. It was fluffy in spots and fast snow. Not a lot of people and the crust was only in certain spots. Fun fast day and got on the 99ti mindbender and realized why people ski sun 100 waist.

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

I was on Billy’s yesterday. Still afraid of sharks, especially if tips are under the surface. I hit a few things but mostly rolled over them.

Kid wants to bring 98s today. I loaded Protests for him, sounds like I should throw the 98s in the car…???

I'm too much of a wimp to go ski when it's 2 degrees. Man Utah is making me soft

Here's some stoke from last week, even one for our pole-less friends
