Stopped to drop off Xmas cookies to the ladies at the LLS. One went in the back and brought this out. Their only bottle. Anyone tried it? Is it worth $94 ?

    Open it and see!

You know what I do after I buy a bottle of whiskey? I go home and open it. Sealed bottles of whiskey in personal "collections" are bullshit.

Easy guy. I' m a whiskey drinker not a whiskey collector. I've only had this for about 3 hours.
I plan on opening it tonight. I was looking for some opinions that's all.
I did notice the prices on the secondary market. Obscene!

It’s not “worth” the $94 but, as you’ve observed, that’s a “good” price. Might as well just drink it and see for yourself. Otherwise you’ll always wonder.

LOL. Raises hand for Rye and a slap.

That's my favorite bourbon. Haven't been able to find it in a few years.
Not willing to pay hundreds for a whiskey that retails for $49.95

My office got me the decorated one for Christmas. I've been trading around and picked up a few. Elmer T. Lee is my newest quest.

I do like Elmer T Lee. Been awhile since I’ve seen a bottle in the store.

A 50/50 blend of these two is really good.

Some refer to it as "poor man's pappy"

you do you man, I like both on their own.

Said for years ( and I tried the original George T Stagg at the same place/time ) Pappy is over rated & over priced

A handful of buddies tried them on their own and blended, blind. The 50/50 was a clear winner. The antique brings the proof of the 12 up a little and the 12 rounds the heat of the 107 out. The middle ground is the sweet spot.

Antique doesn’t exactly bring the heat but to each their own.

Anyone tried Heaven Hill Bottled in Bond? If you haven't, look for some. Awesome pour.

Had a couple cocktails with Stone Hammer bourbon using a cocktail machine. Not the finest bourbon by any means, but for the price it's pretty good and it's above 80 proof.

WTF is a cocktail machine? If I called my wife that I don't think it would end well.
