I'm amazed that you were able to inflict this level of damage.

I like to support local as much as I can,but not a big fan of their current binding. I felt they could have stolen some market share with a better design.

FWIW- Currently have 3 pairs of Freerides in rotation (1 orange, 1 black and 1 Fischer Price multicolor)

    Best of luck with warranty

Anecdotal, but rode the lift with an instructor on BMFs and he's had a bunch of little problems with them. Stuff like machine screws backing out, heel levers being loose, etc. I'm glad Bishop is in the game and bringing new things to tele, but I'm not sure I'd own a pair yet...not when Vices + stiffy springs deliver all the power I need with none of the breakage.

Sad that I gave up my T-Race + Vice combo. Heel levers being loose on Bishops is pretty standard it sounds.

T-Race + 22D Vice/AXL is not to be abandoned. At least in my experience. Have skied TX Comps / OutlawX.

Mark from TTS occasionally posts here, and is good people. Not sure how his business model is working these days, as per any small telemark enterprise.

    Roger that.

$150 for a bracket, screws, heel wire and the heel block with lifters seems pricey.

I may just franken a set of hardwire heel units i have with any number of block/ lifters in the parts bin.

Yes, years ago, I bought the transition kit from Mark L. through that website it and happily used it for a couple of years (bent hardwires enough from bottoming out that I am now on Lynx). I would email him to make sure that they're still selling stuff. Or, you might go over to backcountrytalk.com and see if anyone has a kit to sell. With the release of Voile's new Transit TTS binding, I think folks are trying that out.

As a very amateur tele skier, at a demo day, I was told by the g3 guy that the TTS is the same as an NTN binding and just as good. That is definitely not true.

If anyone has super wide worn out crampons to get rid of they may work for my rig.

I sent a contact message via the website.

    Thanks for the help!

    Cheers

I ended up buying the Dynafit Free skis ($300). My first new skis for telemark in around 13 years!

I mounted with old 7tm using paper templates and calipers. I put the three pin holes at ski center.

First day on them last week, it was all man made snow with spring conditions but pretty fun and good to get out. I thought skis were good for telemark, better than my 2010 Atomic Janak that have become very soft. Would be nice if the Frees had a little more pop out of the turn. I probably need to detune the outside edges a little more so up hill ski is less grabby. Might have been better if I mounted them 1-2cm ahead of center, but I don't think I will redrill. Couple videos:

Found a few turns on powdery :-) snow:

Super Stinx, right? Maybe we should start a tele nostalgia thread -- oh, wait, tele is nostalgia...

Super Stynx yes. I ran into someone today who skied them way back when. She was totally stoked! I skied them when I tried Armande’s UTBs back in 2003 or so. I loved them in Big Chief bumps. I found these when I went to see a pair of World Pistes that someone’s grand daughter posted on Marketplace. I fiddled with the BD02s but couldn’t get them to fit my boots the way I wanted. I made an off hand comment that if they were Super Stynx I’d make them work. The old man was like “I think I have a pair of Supers up in the attic.

    This is so funny :-)

Speaking of nostalgia, I'm half-looking for a pair of Tua Mega skis. I demo'd them back in the day and loved them, but I was poor at the time and never bought a pair. I do have some Tua Montets and Excaliburs that I that take out once in a while.

I freaking loved that ski 23 years ago.

I'm guessing on the years, I'm old

I have some have some Tua Mega MX in 202. Just would need to send me a USPS shipping label(with pick up). Shipping from 92128.

Bases/edges in good shape and still have good spring to them. Top sheets flaking off. See photo in this old post. Voile release plate not included.

406, still have the boots? If yes I will happily pay for shipping. I’m on NTN now and missing my old 75mm.
