Someone must really hate the charity this Ford shitbox is being auctioned off for - otherwise they’d offer up something worthwhile. Like that craptastic Chevy Cobalt some here were championing a while back.

That's already about $5700 more than I'd pay for that car.

The only plausible explanation I can think of for that 2006 base model Taurus having 127 miles is every time the owner got in it to go somewhere they instantly thought better of it.

Bobby's used car lot and Free Carfax

Maybe a little off topic, but I was cleaning out my garage today and found three quarts of Pentafrost coolant we got for our 2006 5 Series a few years back. One half full, the other two are unopened. Free to any SLC mag that wants to grab them.

What's the top speed on a 10yr old Subaru Forrester?

I want to say 116. I had our '12 Forester up to a touch over 90,that's as fast as I was comfortable with and that was on brand new tires.

Ok. I was doing 85 mph and a woman came up behind me and she passed me going at least 15 mph faster. She had a wreath on the front grill and 4-5 in of icy snow on her roof.

I was impressed. She had it floored?

Sometimes when you have zero regard for your car’s well being or your own, you are capable of making it do great things.

Or, it still had some of that Christmas magic thanks to the wreath, either way.

Subaru kind of matches the cars top speed with the stock tire's speed rating.

I'll tell you this, a 1991 Subaru Justy moves way faster than its 16 second 0-60 time would otherwise imply.

Airborne, over a railroad crossing, in a crosswind, definitely.

Or it just feels that way once you hit speed

Being surrounded by little else than paper-thin sheet metal and the cackling laughter of the 5 people jammed into the car does help add to the sense of speed.
