Rt 27 is closed from Farmington, ME to the border. Sunday River and Sugarloaf both closed tomorrow.

So far the only decision we’ve made is about tomorrow, not sure about the Riv.

Sunday River has only been able to say no to tomorrow, not when they will be back.

That starter pack is gold. Reminds me that every time I start to read east coast accident books I get like 3 chapters in before tossing it and saying "well, they made some idiotic decisions".

They're trying to keep calm until they can actually evaluate and plan, I think. Daylight tomorrow will be interesting in Oxford county.

Given that the Sunday River Road is either impassable or a pretty bad idea in at least two places, route 2 in Bethel is underwater in at least three... I'm guessing that even if infrastructure damage isn't bad, staffing will be tough for at least a few days while employees sort out stuff at home and roads get repaired.

Once they can get snowmaking running again, the skiing will bounce back quicker than anywhere, so I've got my fingers crossed and my expectations low for the near term. Based on the number of cars that got caught in water today and tonight, if no one dies, I'd call that a win.

Some can, some can’t. The river will still be coming up through the night so we won’t have a full picture until tomorrow, 27 flooded in a bunch of places.

Nobody from ops has been on the hill since this afternoon so unclear what happened up there. Daily snow meeting at noon tomorrow so I’ll get an update then.

This is a bridge on Rt 16, I have some co workers who live on the Rangeley side of it.

Hearing there's a big concern about the mad river dam possibly failing. Sounds awful back there in many spots. Stay safe.

    34º and dreary bob

Gonna be a lot of crying today and another long recovery for many folks. Flood waters still flowing in Johnson and roads to fix, basements to drain.
Luckily working through next week so I'll miss the Slope Gladiator™ battle staring that schweiger douchebag and friends. bush has a chance to get another trail or two covered with manmade before it warms up over the weekend, I am going with Steins and lower snowball > racers edge and or the lower halves of mrphys/birdland.

Oh well, I have seen worse

    Good luck to those affected

The answer for the smaller indy guys is, not many. Magic took another hit yesterday but haven't been able to evaluate the totality. I'm guessing there's no way they can even get open for Christmas week. I'm pretty close with one of the investors and he's told me that this year is critical to their survival. Haven't had the heart to text Jeff with a G to see what's going on. Don't want to nudge him off the ledge.

No you can’t get to CV today, this is south of the access road. Sugarloaf is on an island today.

Fuck. I’m so sorry to hear that. This storm is not a one off and it’s terrible that communities have to keep dealing with this.

For those familiar with Londonderry, VT, the Main Street businesses all survived this one. Jelley's just reopened barely a month ago after the July disaster.

Coulda been worse here. Going to take a walkabout and see what I can see from the base o' Magic.

Looks like Maine got the sledgehammer on this one. Glad you're all good ('cept the Rona) ticket-man.
