    Dealing with a rough patch for my elderly pet these past few days. Still very touch and go.

    Hope to make a few turns today or tomorrow.

    Crazy.
    Thanks! Was an interesting find. Love that stuff ephemera.

    It's on A pass, just not THE Pass. Togwotee zone. I guess Rafferty might have operated a few different rope tows, from what I've been able to uncover.

    Reading his comments it seems like his takeaways may (or may not) be different from yours.

    Footage uploaded before the heli picked him up, from what I'm told.

    Fwiw: It was a heli rescue, not a sled ride.

    "Sled Ride" is paragliding speak for a flight when you just go down not up. Not usually used for speed wings, because that's mostly what they do, but I think that is what is implied here.

    I run dual sim on my phone- Google Fi (T-Mobile) and AT&T.

    AT&T has way better for coverage than T-Mobile. I run a prepaid line- $300 for 12 months of unlimited talk and text and 16 GB per month of data. The data rolls to the next month if you don't use it, but I think they are upping the data to unlimited this year too. It's pretty awesome for $25 per month.

    Copy that. Thank you, I didn't know!

    If you read the comments in that link, there is chatter about patrollers "already being on the mountain" (as if they have nothing better to do). I guess my head was thinking "sled ride" = "toboggan ride."

    I found the comments to be an interesting read. Speed flying down that front face is an interesting choice. I'm surprised Snow King would allow that.

    Thanks for hashing that out. Yup, one of Newt's sons. Makes some sense now. I bet he's a handful.

    Second roll seems an unwise decision. Natch lands in the newest cut in the hill, just below the freshly shaved wall above the cattrack from the summit. So he got all that rubble and snaggage.

    Tough day in the saddle for him. 3 ligaments in one knee and acl in the other? See ya next summer.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Took out the skis with an edge today and hey wow, that's mo bettah. 1 and 7/8 runs to the base open. Manmade mixed with manmade, over a manmade base.
    Turning on the rough, sluffy spots was actually pert carvy.
    Le tits now soon pleez.
    I watched a few of Dudeman's speed flying videos. What to say? After his recover, if someone could point him in the direction of some instruction and mentorship, his life expectancy may be increased.
    I was laboring for 4 Corners Concrete constructing a couple bridges in the subdivision on Granite Ridge in '95. On July 6, we came back to work after the 4th of July weekend and there was more snow on the ground off Teewinot than there is on either of these pictures. The snow will come though, it always does.     Poor Sheryl.
    It sounds like he's going to have to have both knees reconstructed.
    I saw one of Owens clips about a week or two ago and thought, holy crap this kid is going to get worked soon.
    Sheryl is holding up well….surprisingly. She’s positive despite a shitty situation. Super tough but I know she is thankful things didn’t end up worse.
    Hey schwerty, y’all… hope to catch up witcha this winter, at least a couple times—missed all of last season in shangri la for first time in 22ish years
    Anyway, this is probably posted elsewhere around here, hms doing the great work: https://youtu.be/sZGy6tFsvg8?si=7mBtfKU15iD4IB-W
    Amazingly, there is still soft, untracked snow out there if you look for it. Will be interesting if (when) we get a heavy load on what's been sitting out there.
    AAAAlll of you lurkers need to chime in. I need to hear from you mags. Especially the Targhee and Pebble creek crews. LittleBigLost and 2BJenny are missed in here. Moar Haysman16 and Telehacker too.
    C'mon Mags, let's see how wide a path this western Highlands Tribe can plow.
    I'd be in stoketown if some local to Cody/Sleeping Giant and an Antelope Butte-er would jump in.
    Byates is getting some Cokeville time in.
    Not to mention all of the Village rats. Say Hey Beeotches.
    SuperGaper and Kokomas are already turnin up the volume out there.
    Boy that SuperGaper makes some purdy turns. Was following yday and it looked like fine steep pow turns one would see in an Alaska segment. Though he was at the top of AV
    I’m psyched to watch that video ^
    I thought the wrod has been better than expected each time I’ve sampled it.
    Kudos to the snowmakers who were blowing the best man made snow I’ve ever skied. I swear I got snow to hit above my knees on one turn lol
    The whales on the right side have been interesting though-
    Hope to see some of you mags on AV this weekend. As much as a larger opening is nice, it’s also fun to bump into all my favorite winter people with the graduated opening.
    I think Julie and I are also going to hit up Targhee this weekend with the storm rolling in so will report back
