WSDOT has been teasing "Re-evaluating conditions" on hwy 20 for 3-4 days now. Seems like odds are pretty good she's done for the year? Is there a historical closure date?

Yeah I've been eyeing the cameras and almost drove up to the pass to look in person, but I think I respect my bases a bit too much to give it a go just yet.

it's the fear of getting shark bit and ending up with a pre-thanksgiving injury and missing the season for 10 crummy turns

There's a lot of mature decision making in the last few posts...

I'm there too. I have some house projects I need to finish but friends have already made turns, some of them looked really good. I can't wait to get out there. Soon.

Yeah, this too. I'm already rehabbing my knees.

Still once I start seeing people making turns I'm going to find it hard to stay home.

Size: 98.9 KBThis is how we do it at Mission. Thankfully you can get a beer and a base repair for pretty cheap. At least it used to be that way.

Man is weak. This one could no longer resist the siren's call. But with the 10-day largely dry and the prospect of lift-served Turkey turns slipping away, and travel plans looming, can you blame him?

White Pass: Thin cover from the car. Supportable crust at 5600. Zipper crust over stale pow 6k and higher. No rocks were polished on the way down, but those weeds are f*cked.

Congrats on the injury-free weed whacking. New thread soon? Bonus points if "PNW" does not appear in the title...

Tonight's storm appears to be coming in at less than forecast strength. I wonder whether this may be the year that "linked turns at pass level" coincides with a WROD opening. Somebody please prove me wrong... and I would do it but those turns were not worthy and we need some good ju-ju to kick things off right.

And to your beef, I'll say this: Have you ever seen a place with as many "PNW! PNW is the best! OMG my home is the PNW! window stickers rolling around? Maybe with the faux-outside crossed arrows or weird totems? So, yeah... We are the PNW-est of the PNW...As witnessed by Melanie from Wisconsin.

I miss when we just called it "The Northwest", but I guess it makes sense to differentiate between INW and PNW.

Yeah I think the 'PNW' thing came in on the heels of those airport code stickers, likely precipitated by a transplant who needed affirmation for their recent life choices.
Were I funnier, and in any way inclined toward public speaking, I'd have a long comedy routine devoted to this subject.

I’m doing my part by being out of town. Saw a few people skinning up Stevens on the way out today.

Enjoy the impending dumpage while I’m gone.
