Isn't a shop car supposed to actually run when you need it to? And not need to have the smoke replaced frequently?

I bet that Chevy’s got a real nice full size spare like God intended.
My Q5 has a flat spare and if I remember correctly the pump is under the drivers side panel.
A winter flat change strikes me as painful to the point of just walking away...

Meh. Your expectations are too high. Ok, this one's a hatch and comes with it's own mailbox. All good work cars have a mailbox https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...ibextid=dXMIcH

So you’re building a cop car? Is there a real shortage of old cop cars?

    BMW’s?

There are online shops that do sell spare kits, otherwise, I just carry a Viair pump in my trunk. For the one time I’ve absolutely shredded a tire, a spare would have been nice and time saving versus waiting for a tow.

Yup. As soon as I looked up the cost for a new set of run-flats I went back to Volvo. Fuck that $2500-$3000 every few years. And they can’t be patched? Increasing the chance you’re replacing 4 tires prematurely when you do get a flat at 50% wear.
My wife’s 2022 x3 has a spare, but since this purchase was unplanned, the budget is 2020.
Local dealer told me they’re switching back to regular tires now. Turns out tons of people who bought Beemers over the last few years finally need tires and are letting BMW know where they can stick it.

I've been seeing lots of the AWD Taurus Interceptors for sale recently. I guess they're reaching that end of service-life time. Some have surprisingly low mileage and nice interiors that were probably detective cars.

Oh good lord. I can just imagine some of these ending up in the hands of HS kids. I know if I was in HS right now and that's what I was offered, I'd be out there flogging the thing up and down the roads until I either stacked it or lost my license.

Low mileage doesn't mean they didn't sit idling for 6 hours a day 5 days a week

It's not like idling continues to wear parts like water pumps.

It's not like that's basically an engine out job on a Taurus.

That sounds like the exact type of vehicle gravity would be interested in

The domestics should've stuck to what they do best, simple + displacement.

In other news, I was searching for something using the who posted link, and Bobby's name is whited out. Did he delete his account?
