Sad story but happy for the rescued pup. She stayed by his side almost three months after he passed away, alone in the mountains. Amazing.

And yeah...he may have been a food source for her but I'd rather focus on the positive of her survival.

"boobs just make the world better really" - Woodsy
My life has been a shit show lately. Yesterday I was on the useless Facebook and a local group for the town had been posting about a lose pitbull that has been sleeping in sheds and on porches and looks starving. Assumptions are that she was dumped and left up in the woods a few weeks ago. I have a very soft spot for them. I made a comment on the post that I could give her a place until we figured out a long term or that I could possibly be the long term.
Grace, as it seems a suitable name, is just relaxing and decompressing. She’s thankful for her sponge bath, some food and water, and some love.
Grace looks like she belongs there already. Sometimes the dogs rescue you too. What a nice story Joey.
Like.
Poor Pittie puppy mill mama. She deserves the cushy life now.
Definitely the right dog with the right person at the right time.
Here’s a update 24 hours after she walked through my door scared and barking.
I’ll say that these dogs are amazing. They are definitely very misunderstood but still take a tremendous amount of discipline and a strong authority. After they understand the chain of command and who the boss is, the trust, loyalty and friendship they provide in return is like no other breed.
there is a reason the kings of England developed them and treated them as royalty and part of the family. They were bred to hunt boar in the kings forest and protect the royal family.
