    I just ate mushrooms

I can’t use my phone on mushrooms.

I’ve been using this years foraged cyanescens with the lemon tek method. You grind them into a fine powder and then add the dose you want to a couple tablespoons of lemon juice. Let it sit for 20-30 minutes and then drink it. No nausea and you’ll start to feel it in 20 minutes or so. Peaking at about an hour. I’ve used it with cubensis too and the highs are different for sure. The cubes are the typical warm blanket giggly experience with lots of visual shift. The cyanescens are very much more intense cerebrally still lots of visual shift, halos, streamers etc. but very clear headed.

The cyanescens are probably twice as potent by volume. A quarter teaspoon of powdered is just a bit over threshold dose and it takes a half teaspoon or more for similar effects with the cubes.

It’s fun to experiment with different doses. Micro dose, threshold, social dose, tripping balls. Mushrooms are really fun, probably my favorite recreational drug.

You should go get your hands on some azerescens if you like the cys, they’re even stronger. Only found in select locations, mainly Columbia river mouth. Looks very similar to the cys but cap isn’t wavy.

Did shrooms once a few decades ago and when I went out to get the mail I ran a mile down the road and back first for some reason.

Yeah, when I first found these I thought they were azurescens. Of course they were imported here on alder mulch from the west side. Some people think they’re the same species in a different area.

It’s incredible how variable the potency can be even with mushrooms from the same mycelium. Sometimes the little ones can surprise you and the bigger ones don’t seem as strong. Grinding for lemon tek or tea is a lot more predictable than eating whole dried and is a much more pleasant experience. Sometimes those big cultivated cubes are a bit much to chew and all that fibrous chitin can be unpleasant.

Does anyone buy their mushrooms online? Only place I know of is Schedule35, but it's pretty expensive at $90shipped for a 5g chocolate bar of cubensis.

They are actually different. Albeit very similar. Azurescens contain more psilocybin than any other mushroom in the world. I grew up on the north Oregon coast where both are plentiful. Cys are literally everywhere and the azys are found mainly at the Columbia river mouth. In the Washington side the cops are dicks. Unfortunately the internet has ruined the south jetty and it’s totally over run these days. Eating them fresh out of the ground is a horrible taste that is permanently ingrained in my palate.

I wonder if there is a distilled non- chocolate version. Curious for a relative that cannot eat chocolate and is interested in the medicinal qualities. How are psilocybin mushrooms distilled?

I’ve eaten a single triangle off a fun guy and thought it was a dud. A friend ate 3 and didn’t catch a buzz.

I took half a teaspoon of cyanescens in lemon juice and the rocks were talking to me in bright midday sun.

I was up in Telluride at Mountain Lodge last year. Got to talking to a local guy in the hot tub and it turned out that he knew the local jam/rock band that was going to play at the View restaurant that night. He encouraged me and my group to come hear them. I was the only one that came later and he and I got to chatting over a few drinks (mezcal for me). After a while I guess I had proved that even though I was a tourist I wasn't a complete touron. He pulled out a rather large bag of some good looking shrooms and gave me a handful. I ate some and the show, already impressive, quickly became something else entirely. I could feel the music around me. The "light show", some guy spinning clear chinet plates with food coloring on an overhead projector became really intense with colors floating in the air around me. A little later the guy showed me a little staircase that led to the balcony over looking the band. He handed me another handful of the shrooms. And then after standing tripping together for what felt like another hour but was probably just a few minutes he handed me the whole zip and insisted I try a small dose while skiing the next day. A few more mezcals later the show was over and I was back in my condo still tripping balls while me buddies slept. Soon mezcal room spin (something I hadn't felt in YEARS) combined with the shrooms and I was filling up the tiny bathroom sink with my dinner and everything else I had eaten for the last 6 months.

The next morning I was in a rough state but after a slow start made it onto the mountain and ate a small dose of shrooms, just enough that after an hour or so everything seemed magical, snow glistened and the wind sounded so cool but I wasn't having strong visuals or otherwise feeling disoriented. So, after a bit, when I heard Palmyra was open (the first time in my 3 trips to TRide) I decided to go for it. The climb was sketch in alpine soled ski boots and skis over shoulder. The slight *shine* from the trip made it feel like I was on a very important pilgrimage and I imagined some crazy shit. Eventually skiing down Seniors was a near religious experience and I was ready to cry from happiness skiing soft turns in Palmyra basin. I wouldn't say it was life changing but it was definitely a moment I'll remember for a long time.

Another time in college I tripped by myself watching King of the Hill. In the episode Cotton tries to steal Gen. Santa Anna's prosthetic leg from a museum to exchange for his driver's license...I was convinced I was tripping the whole episode and just shook my head incredulously till the next morning when I looked it up and found out that it's a real episode...wtf lol

Just 1g for kitchen dwellers at Ogden theater last night. Generally considered my “I got this” dose. But been a while since been to a Denver club show. Forgot how packed it gets and how old I am. Great show and good time all around but vibe could of been better had I dialed back. 20mg of fast acting sativa gummies prob didn’t help.

Next time you decide to take a little trip consider binge watching some Scavengers Reign.

That was a fun read. Tripping spontaneously like that makes it so much better somehow.

Reminds me of a time in college. Not shrooms, just weed tho. We were smoking joints in a stairwell before a physics lab. The door in the stairway was unlocked so went inside. We stumbled into the campus’s planetarium, like the full deal. We had no idea it existed. Buddy fired it up somehow and we sat there star gazing at noon.
